I wish I could give Colivault 10 stars. This place and the owner, Richard, are absolute treasures. We had the small house for 3 of us and it was perfect. Breakfast was amazing and even served out in garden on our second morning. The accommodations are absolutely spotless and every little small detail is perfect. The finishings are all high end. I would not hesitate to come back.

Colivault was exceptional, from the house and grounds to Richard and his family’s warm hospitality. This is one place we will definitely return to again and again.
The rooms are luxurious, the breakfast was plentiful, served outside in the dappled sunlit garden and the pool was delightful.
Pet friendly accommodation is hard to find of this high calibre.
Wonderful French charm, it’s easy to see why so many guests fall in love with Colivault. 10/10 , 5 stars, we can’t wait to return. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great place to stay

We had an excellent stay. There was nothing we were unhappy with. The accommodation was great, the grounds are large and wonderful with a lovely pool. Our hosts, Richard and Sophie, were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. And we fell in love with their two dogs. We stayed one night on our way to the south. We loved it so much, we changed our return journey so that we could stay again on our way home. We plan to visit in the future and stay for a week or so in order to better explore this lovely part of France.

What an exceptional stay! It was perfect! Authentically French! Richard and Sophie have updated this chateau to a warm, cozy and inviting accommodation, paying attention to every detail. From the beautiful landscape and the history of the home to the home grown gardens to the charming pets, large and small, it just does not get any better. Richard is the perfect host from a exquisite French breakfast every morning, then helping us to plan our day and generously making the perfect dinner reservations at a variety of local bistros and restaurants that they frequent themselves, he was so generous with his hospitality and vivacious enthusiasm everyday!! We stayed for 4 nights and our entire stay was authentic in every way. The accommodations were very clean, comfortable, charming and cozy. We hope to return someday soon!! Thank you Richard for truly making our visit to the Loire better than we could have ever expected! A bientôt! We love Colivault!

Out of time ...❤️

Stopping on the road to Brittany , we could enjoy an enchanting break at Richard’s.
Everything was perfect. The house is beautiful , the breakfast delicious , the animals endearing and the owner is of exceptional kindness and kindness.
If you want to stay for one night or for a point of departure to visit the castles of the Loire , do not hesitate it is “the place to be”.
Again thank you Richard for stopping in this haven of peace.
