Arrived as a tourist, left as a friend

I spent my first solo stay at the Arcadien Hotel, and the experience was excellent.
The hotel is comfortable and well thought out, both in the common areas and in the rooms. The spa is very nice, perfect for relaxing after a day in the mountains.
But what really makes a difference is the atmosphere. You never feel like a tourist: the staff are warm, generous and attentive, and the little touches create a real sense of consideration.
When I left, I felt like I was leaving a second home, a place where I truly felt good.
I recommend without hesitation.

Positives:
Location next to a forest which is perfect for dog walks.
I received a room upgrade, which was a nice touch.
Negatives:
The spa area did not feel very hygienic. If you only plan to use the sauna it might be fine but I wouldn’t recommend the rest.
The hotel is a bit further from the center and ski lifts. It’s not far but you definitely notice it when carrying heavy luggage or skis.
Breakfast had quite limited options, with no warm food available (unless you boil eggs yourself).
Staff were generally helpful, although I had one strange experience where they refused to provide fresh towels on one day for no reason.
There is no elevator, so you will need to carry heavy luggage up and down the stairs yourself.
Overall:
Overall, I would say the hotel is suitable if you have fairly standard requirements. However, if you have more specific needs (e.g. traveling with dogs, children, or requiring early check-in), I would not recommend.

I just got off a massage! It was supposed to last an hour, it was over after 45 minutes! Very noisy with the spa! Very bof

The massage lasted 45 minutes instead of 1 hour! Very loud because of the hot tub right next to the massage room! I followed people’s conversation throughout the massage! Too bad! I own the residence! I would not recommend!

Ski holiday as a couple

We stayed for 5 days at the Arcadien Hotel where everything went very well.
The property is quiet due to its number of rooms. The bedding is comfortable. The staff is very friendly.
The meals are excellent, fresh produce perfectly cooked, and the choice is varied. The possibility of the packed lunch to go for lunch is a real plus!
The tracks are on the doorstep.
Our only reproach would be the obsolete windows that let through the cold and certainly leads to overconsumption of heating, a renovation would be planned ...

Not what our group expected.

I arranged a stay for 24 guests at the Hotel & Spa Arcadien in March 2025. Based on the website photos and the 3-star rating, I felt the Arcadien would meet our needs. However, throughout our stay, I received many complaints about the wear and dated appearance of the guest rooms. Room 101 in particular had mold which is shown in the photographs. Had we known this in advance we would have booked other accommodations. We were pleased with the staff for their helpfulness, friendliness, and courteous service. Also, as our group arrived by motorcoach, we had to carry our bags 300 meters uphill as the narrow road to the hotel could not support the large vehicle. I feel the ownership needs to address the condition of the guest rooms so they are equal to what is shown on the hotel website.
