A unique stay with lovely staff

Spent three nights at the chateau and it was a most unique experience . This is not really a hotel as such but rather like time travelling to a country house from a different era where you are an honoured guest. The chateau is full of art - murals , ceramic and paintings - some by the owners. It will for sure not be to everyone’s taste - if you like modern , sleek, TV in room etc this is not for you but if you’re interested in art and history and have a sense of the romantic and the quirky then this is a perfect getaway.
Breakfast is fine and just enough and you get to sit in the beautiful dining room every morning. There is also an honesty bar where you can try the excellent wines from Domaine Raissac plus free tea and coffee. The grounds are enormous and there is plenty of space to find your own corner in the quiet garden to relax in. The pool area is also great.
Dinner options are limited but it is possible to order cheese and charcuterie platters and some small warm dishes on request. Very nice.
Monika the host is an incredible person who makes you feel so welcome and can’t do enough to make sure you are having a comfortable stay . She is a true superstar and I hope the owners really appreciate her. She is a very special lady x

Amazing host Monika

Absolutely amazing experience. From beginning to end. Went with a group of friends and we were blown away by the amazing hospitality from the second we walked in the door up until we left. The chateau is amazing. Food wine facilities ;ie the outdoor pool ect.The chateau is steeped in history. Amazing Art work and ceramics to appreciate. Food was absolutely delicious. Their own produced wine was delicious. Could not recommend enough. Thank you Monika for looking after us so well. An amazing host

Great stay

We chose the Chateau as our base for its architecture and ambiente - without regrets. We got a very hospitable welcome, and throughout our stay everything was perfect. We had the Viennet Suite on the top floor, which features 2 separate sleeping rooms along with one big living (sleeping) room with an ensuite bathroom (hottub with shower, toilet, bidet). The entire Chateau is lined with the family's artwork (paintings and ceramics, and you can see how Salvador Dali indeed influenced his student Jean).
The garden/park is quite large, inviting to a short stroll, best over to the pool area. The pool is big enough for a real swim (12x5 or more), and there are enough deckchairs as well - great for relaxation.
Breakfast is served in a big salon and offers fresh croissants and similar, along with some cheese, sausage, juices, eggs, breads, and really excellent jams. Sometimes, Jean is around, and the family and friends are having dinner - you might get invited (in general, though, dinner is not served here, unless you ask for some specific arrangements)!
Pets and kids are very welcome at the place as well. There is no real room service to maintain privacy, but fresh bottles and towels are brought and placed in front of your room every morning. Cleaning the room can be arranged individually.
Final verdict: really a great, perfect stay.

What a totally wonderful experience. Monica should win all the awards for her care and personal service. We will definitely be back
