Great hotel with great restaurant and very kind owners

Had a lovely overnight stay here - owner very kindly offered to put some wine I had on board into his cold storage room due to high temperatures outside
Great food in lovely restaurant - also very dog friendly
Overall 10/10

Not recommended, lack of comfort and cleanliness. Owner not very business-minded

Unfriendly reception, an impression of being a bother. Room: spider webs in every corner, mold in shower corners, pillows not changed, no fan or ways to cool down, room had not been aired out. Breakfast: decent products, certainly, but hard bread, too expensive for weak coffee...

Bonjour Monsieur Wilems, nous avions bien compris que vous ne souhaitiez pas honorer votre réservation, cherchant par tous les moyens à l'annuler le jour même de votre venue....Nous n'avons pas accepté de pliez et vous avons signalé que vous seriez tout de même débité du montant de votre réservation, c'est sans doute ce que vous appelez "n'être pas commercial"...Nous en payons le prix, par le biais des réseaux sociaux... Parfait. Nous n'avons pas non plus apprécier votre attitude, votre manque de courtoisie, et de respect. Nous n'avions pas aérer la chambre avant votre venue....Il faisait 38° dehors, et comme nous n'avons pas de climatisation, ce qui est clairement énoncé dans la présentation de notre établissement, ouvrir les fenêtres de votre chambre l'aurait a coup sûr transformée en fournaise...Pour finir, si en effet la relation commerciale repose sur le respect, il faut pour que cela fonctionne, qu'il soit réciproque, notion qui vous semble totalement étrangère. Nous souhaitons bien du courage à nos confrêres et consoeurs qui auront à vous accueillir à l'avenir. Jacques NICOLAS Propriétaire.

Geachte mevrouw, In onze accommodatiebeschrijving staat duidelijk vermeld dat onze kamers niet zijn voorzien van airconditioning. Het spijt ons dat u het warm heeft gehad, maar op dit moment geldt er in Bourgondië een oranje hittegolfwaarschuwing en het is verrassend dat hotelhouders verantwoordelijk worden gehouden voor weersomstandigheden waar wij geen enkele invloed op hebben. Madame, Il est clairement énoncé dans notre présentation d'établissement que nos chambres ne sont pas climatisées. Nous sommes désolés que vous ayez eu chaud, mais à l'heure actuelle la Bourgogne est en alerte orange canicule et il est surprenant de tenir pour responsable les hôteliers d'événements climatiques sur lesquels nous n'avons aucune influence. bien cordialement. Could use an update

The bathroom was as good as new, which was okay, and the bed itself was good, but unfortunately the room as a whole was rather musty and dirty (old carpeting that you didn't want to walk on without slippers); the separate toilet room was also dark and the tiles were dirty (they could have used a mop), the wallpaper was peeling in places, everything was very dated. Overall, unfortunately, everything seemed very dingy. Unfortunately, we would not book it again. However, the place was worth seeing.

Never again

Room 102 on ground floor annexe was dirty and musty. Dead insects, cobwebs, mould on the window, and live ants scurrying around. WiFi didn't work at all in our room. The owner put an ant killer trap on window ledge when told, but the overall feel was grubby. Restaurant meal was good and served with a smile.

We fully understand your disappointment and can only regret this unfortunate experience. Room 102 is not currently available for booking, as it is due to undergo refurbishment before the start of the season. We have issued a new memo to our team regarding this matter, although I realise this comes too late for you. Once again, I can only express my regret at this unfortunate incident. I am pleased, however, that your experience in our restaurant was satisfactory.
