Beautiful stays in this beautiful Pension

We booked a room from 16 to 19 August. The owners are very friendly and caring to make you have a pleasant stay. The spacious room, tastefully decorated and very neat , with a large terrace and mountain views. We enjoyed the 2 small bottles of water as a welcome. The breakfast excellent! only regional products and homemade pies a delight.

Wonderful family hotel- lovely views and large terrace

This 5th generation family-run hotel is an old fashioned gem with good food including an amazing breakfast. Very local sourcing of cheeses and other ingredients and good bread from Colmars. Dinner was very satisfying—very well prepared; breakfast was surprisingly varied with home made jams, meats, local cheeses, eggs, including crepes to order. I have recommended it unreservedly to all my friends and we will return. Open June 1-September 30. The hotel closes after the sunmer season and their other hotel in ski country opens for the winter. Good hiking nearby.

Dinner at Hotel Verdon

I had dinner here as a part of a large cycling group. It only has a set menu, based upon what the Chef found in the market. Great value, good service served outdoors and second helping it you wanted it. Don't forget in France if you a vegetarian to tell then in advance to help the Chef prepare something different.

A very unique experience

Hotel du Verdon is a charming family-run hotel going back five generations. As a guest you feel very welcome. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both of high quality with local products. The hosts kindly provided us with tickets for the not-very-crowded public pool across the street. In the area there are plenty to do - e.g. hiking, cycling and visiting Colmars, which is surrounded by old city walls.
The hotel rooms are not new at all - but everything worked and was clean.
I would recommend a visit just to experience the special hospitality.

Lovely hotel tucked away in the mountains ..

My wife and I took a week off in the Verdon area. Every day was a new hike, a swim in the creeks, a walk through unbelievable Mountain villages surrounded by Medieval walls . Just a fantastic quiet area which can only made better with a good place to stay. The hotel du Verdon was just that. Comfortable room, really good local cuisine made by Sophie the owner and a wonderful terrace to sit, relax and read a book. We are definitely returning next year and maybe make this a tradition !
