Charming stage, full of elegance and charm in a historic building perfectly located next to the pretty village of Beaugency. The welcome was smiling, available and very kind. When we woke up after a beautiful night under high ceilings, a little decorated with very good “homemade” products and a variety of surprising jellies and jams... it was Mikaelé’s smile and kindness that made us take our time out!

A wonderful find in a wonderful riverside town.

This hotel is run on the passion of its owners to maintain and develop this wonderful historic Abbaye. The staff were attentive and patient with my poor French language skills; the room with a view over the Loire was simple but atmospheric, and the bed soooo comfortable after a day's drive. Well worth a stay, a wander round this beautiful little gem of a town. We didnt eat in, but do recommend L'arganier at 17 Rue De La Maille D'or for an excellent Moroccan meal (the beef and prune tagine was fantastic!).

$6 for a bottle of water, a ripoff. Some staff is nice, others so-so. It was very outside and obviously steaming. Awesome old building.

The Abbaye hotel is a very special historical building. Great views of the Loire from rooms and a lovely outside terrace. Moreover you can simply cross the road and be on the banks of the river! Spotlessly clean rooms. Friendly team. Lovely old furniture everywhere , a character building ( unique) complemented by a modern bathroom with a good shower. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice ( cold meats/cheese/yoghurts/fruit/pastries) many products inc jams/yoghurt from the abbeys in France. The only small disappointment is that the restaurant was unexpectedly closed. However many options in this lovely town closeby. Super stop between UK and the South of France - would be great in the winter with the open fire in the lounge too!
