Ideal location
Junior suite opening onto the patio, so it is quiet. Good sound insulation from noise coming from the hallway or other rooms. Very well equipped, with a dishwasher, drip coffee maker and Nespresso machine, kettle, microwave.
Water fountain available (room temperature, cold, or sparkling) on the ground floor.
Very cordial employees who are always ready to help resolve any small issues or shortcomings encountered in the apartment as they arise.
Very well-located residence, in the heart of the city (all shops and restaurants) and 50 meters from the beach. Large public underground parking garage, with numerous charging stations.
Sumptuously renovated reception; it is a shame that some common areas (hallways and staircase) show their age (old carpet/paint).

Great location, but with poor standard of cleanliness and rooms in need of renovation
We first visited this property back in 2024 and had a very nice experience, which I would have rated as five stars. However, unfortunately, the standards of this hotel have since declined, and this time around we were left very disappointed.
Firstly, the positives:
> This hotel has, in my opinion, the best location in Arcachon. You are next to the central market and a few minutes' walk from the beach.
> The staff are friendly and polite.
> Check-in and check-out were very straightforward, without any issues.
Unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives on this occasion:
> Firstly, the rooms are dirty. They are not cleaned properly between guests, and we arrive to find dust everywhere, crumbs all over the couch underneath and dirt inside the cutlery cupboards.
> The rooms are small, which is to be expected for a central location in Arcachon, but even a junior suite, which is advertised as being suitable for four people, only comes with two seats at the dining table. When we queried this, we were told that the room had four seats because there were two metal chairs out on the patio.
> The central lobby area lift was broken for several days. The air conditioning was broken in the room we stayed in and even the electronic card reader on the side entrance was broken regularly, which meant we had to ring the reception on the intercom to let us into the building. These are all signs of a building that isn't being maintained properly.
> However, by far the most concerning negative for us was the fact that a few hours after we had checked into our room, the bathroom sink and mirror detached from the wall! Luckily, no one was in the room at the time this happened, but I dread to think what could have happened if one of our children had been standing in front of it at the time and it had fully collapsed onto the floor. We were also very lucky that the sink didn't rip the water pipes from the wall, because otherwise there would have been a flooding incident as well.
We were, of course, moved to another room but there was no apology from the hotel; once we had been moved, that was it. There was no further comment from them on the matter, not even at check out. This, to me, is actually a very serious matter, as it demonstrates that their fixtures are reaching end of life and there could be potential safety concerns in all their other rooms.
We do hope the hotel takes this review seriously because they are putting guests at risk if they do not review all the fixtures and fittings in their rooms, especially the bathrooms. We do not want a generic "thank you for your feedback" response from the hotel; we want them to take action.

Superb!
Extraordinary location!
Superb apartment, excellent location (junior suite facing the square).
Breakfast supplies insufficient (no more bread at 10:15 AM).
The hallway carpets need to be replaced.

Mixed - probably wouldn’t stay again
We stayed for 2 weeks. Location is superb. Lobby area is nice. Apartment a little small but manageable for 3 people. However we had a big problem with cleanliness. We were told on check in that our apartment would be cleaned twice during our 2 week stay. We almost had to bed for cleaning to be done. When it eventually was done it consisted only of towel change and one bedsheet change (never changed the other bedsheet). Lots of dust on the floors under bed and under couch. Corridors are filthy. We didn’t have breakfast there so I cannot comment. Most of the staff at reception are pleasant but some do not like to be challenged eg regarding cleaning. I probably would not stay there again mainly due to the cleaning factor.

Beautiful structure but sound insulation needs improvement
Ideal location, stunning decor, modern comfortable and spacious room. Varied, hearty, and very high-quality breakfasts. On the other hand, avoid the street-side rooms which do not allow for sleeping beyond 6:30 AM. Parades of cleaning and collection vehicles in the street, not to mention furniture movements inside. The insulation of these windows needs to be reviewed.
