cheap and well located

Accommodation not far from the train station and near the city center, convenient. From the outside it's discreet, without knowing it we don't guess that the rooms are there. To enter, you have to type a code as in the AirBnb, in the entrance there is the common kitchen area for all, with a microwave. The room is good, the toilet a little small where I was at least for the big legs. Shower inside the room. There is no television but an overhead projector to watch Netflix movies on the wall in the dark. In the morning, we always have a tray with cakes, no extra charge. The room was quiet having a wall in front of the window and not on the street. Comfortable bed. There is wifi that works well. Travellers are asked to pay in cash, good to know.

Perfect at the top

Perfect refurbished rooms, cleanliness and top location.
A breakfast included fear to be taken in the room or in a small common room with a very good coffee machine , loose tea or a pressed orange.
Only small flat the pillows too soft and room 3 at least deserves a blackout curtain.We will return to it with pleasure

Oooold ....this is not France!

I am French , but this is not le charme a la francaise! It's just Sooo old!! Carpets on walls, stairs risky . Oooold shower probably from the 70s really narrow, the TVs wasn't working... Je suis vraiment decu!! Il est bien situe c est le Seoul point posit if!!

Funky trip back in time

The room was small but soooo clean and cleaned every day. Everyday when I went to my room I remembered I was in France. Wooden shutters on the windows, view to a tiled roof. I didn't speak much French and Madame didn't speak any English - but it worked. Madame is around 60 tall and prepares a simple French breakfast if you want. I am now staying somewhere where I could be in any country in the world - still in France but I will have fond memories of Hotel des Ambans.

Great location

This hotel is a short walk from the train station. It is simple, clean, and convenient. The owner directed us to delicious places to eat. We enjoyed our first night and returned a week later before catching the train back to Paris.
