Hotel with all the services
Restaurant is very good and they provide everything you need. They rent motorcycles, they have massage option that can come to your room. The pool is ok but still enjoyable. Staff will help you with everything

I will simply and transparently share my one-sided email correspondence with the “Hotel Vela Terraces” with users here.
After not receiving a response for a week and both emails being ignored by the hotel, I decided to write a review to inform or warn other travelers:

1. Email from 27.03.2026 (no response):
Dear Mr. Jadloc,
I hereby wish to file a formal and serious complaint regarding my stay at your hotel (Vela Terraces Hotel, Coron) from March 19 to March 23, 2026 (1 room booked via Check24 for 10,946 PHP, booking number: XXXXXXXXX).
After the first night, I noticed numerous itchy, red skin spots on both arms. Due to the circumstances (sun exposure, sunscreen, and seawater), I initially assumed it was a skin reaction. However, the linear pattern of the skin changes was already unusual at that point.
In the following nights, the situation worsened significantly. The skin spots spread to other parts of my body (abdomen, flank, thighs, and even the face) and were accompanied by severe itching and considerable discomfort. After consulting my doctor in Germany by phone and sending photos, I was diagnosed with a high probability of a bed bug infestation (I can provide these photos upon request).
I immediately reported the issue to your reception. Despite a detailed explanation of the situation and showing the visible skin reactions, I was neither offered a room change nor an adequate solution. Instead, I was asked why I had not reported the problem earlier. This is inappropriate, as the cause was not clearly identifiable after the first night.
A room change was explicitly refused. The only measure offered was a change of bed linen, which is obviously insufficient in the case of a bed bug infestation. In addition, I was informed that I could speak with the manager the next morning, which, however, did not happen.
The following day, I was informed that similar incidents had occurred in the past. As compensation, I was offered a refund for one night (2,734 PHP) as well as a complimentary airport transfer.
Given the severity of the incident, I consider this offer insufficient.
In addition, I incurred costs of 500 PHP for laundry services to ensure that no bed bugs would be transferred to my luggage.
After changing accommodation, no new skin reactions occurred, which further confirms the origin of the problem in your hotel.
In summary:
• There was a high probability of a bed bug infestation in the room
• The problem was not handled seriously
• No adequate solution was offered
• It appears to be a recurring or structural issue
A stay under such conditions is not only unacceptable but also represents a potential health risk.
I therefore ask you to carefully review the matter and provide an appropriate solution.
If no satisfactory solution is provided, I will be forced to share my experience publicly in order to inform other travelers accordingly.

TO AVOID
Hotel well located in a quiet area. The vile is easy to reach on foot.
The room is sad with no decoration. No chair, no safe or fridge.
Very noisy air conditioning. Persistent moisture.
Minimalist shower room.
Breakfast not friendly few choices for Europeans.
Swimming pool sad, without deckchair, lacking maintenance and just two chairs. Machinery adjoins the pool so very noisy.
No possibility to take towels from the hotel for boat trips.

Not great!
Hotel perched, where you have to deal with the food available, and often not much! You know, a bunch of deals to get to a room to the bare minimum. It’s a shame because the staff is charming but desperately lacking in resources! You want fruit.... Sorry it’s of course the menu but there are none, if you want fries it’s ok! Coron is a small island where apart from the sea trips, there is not much to do...

To flee for a couple
Lamentable hotel, I prefer to pay much more to be in a clean and worthy place. The air conditioning makes noise. It smells like humidity inside the rooms. The pool is cloudy you really have to be brave to swim in it. Breakfast is not bad the welcome it is just what it takes. The bathroom is not clean. Frankly I didn’t enjoy my experience at all, I had booked three nights, I left after the first to book another hotel. The exteriors are not maintained, it is really not a hotel that I recommend
