Its called Haven for a reason

Stayed with my husband and daughter for 4 nights in this hotel. All the staff are very friendly towards us especially my daughter. Their service is wonderful and they really attend to their guests needs. Imagine coming in/out of the room daily and all the staffs you pass by will definitely greet you.
*Food- daily breakfast is delicious serving different types of food as buffet and egg cooking station.
-ordering food from the resto/bar is good too you have a lot of choices from snacks, drinks, to lunch/dinner meals, their seafood platter is great too.
*Location - its along the road which makes it easy to take etrikes, 5mins walk to Dmall and 2 mins walk from the beach.
*Room- we had the atrium suite which has the whirlpool bathtub, but other rooms seems wonderful too.
*Swimming Pool -we really spent a lot of time here, since its outdoor i was afraid we cant swim much when sun is up high but i was wrong the shade from the roof and trees are good.

Rooms were clean and bright, Staff was Excellent…. Didn’t matter if it was front desk, restaurant, or maintenance. Breakfast as well any meal was well portioned and reasonable. Room ac was so cold that a couple of times I just turned it off. The only problem I had was with the TV. It would not stay connected to the WiFi.

I won't come here again.

Cons:
Sometimes the bathroom smells like sewage. I even had to cover the drains with towels. It may not be every day, but it shouldn't be in a decent hotel in principle.
The bathroom itself is tiny, the size of a closet. It's probably going to be the smallest and cramped hotel bathroom you'll ever meet. Cosmetics are the cheapest with an unpleasant smell - you can't buy one of these at home.
– Beach towels are not freely available, but by cards – decent hotels should long ago abandon this outdated practice. At the same time, towels can only be taken once a day! Wet towels cannot be exchanged for fresh towels during the day. Loss of cards carries a fine.
- Additionally, when you register, you first sign a few more papers indicating what fines you are entitled to for damaging your room or bed linen. Thank you for the welcome! And in advance take an “incidental deposit” 50 USD, which is returned at check-out only after a full room check. At the same time, the room itself (#403) is already quite shabby, absolutely all furniture in chipping and scratching, walls in cracks. I can't imagine ruining that furniture any more. Room decoration generally looks cheap.
-The bed is quite narrow and so short that the legs will dangle even in a person of average height.
The safe is pretty small, it's almost impossible to put a laptop in it.
- During heavy rain (and it rains quite often in December-January), water flows from the balcony directly into the room even when the door is closed.
They don't clean the room very carefully. Bed linen is changed every 4 days. They don't clean quickly - you can go to the beach at 11:00, come back at 16:00, and the room will still be in the process of cleaning.
-The pool is not worth mentioning - consider it in the hotel just for decoration. Throughout the day it is in the shade - you will not be able to sunbathe. There is almost no free space around the pool, barely 2 sunbeds by the elevator were crammed in, another 3 sunbeds are standing in cold water - that is all. Swimming in cold water is not comfortable - in fact almost no one swims.
The hotel doesn't have its own sunbeds on the beach either. Most nearby hotels display sunbeds and umbrellas for their guests. If they have free sunbeds, they can be rented for a deposit of 1000-1500 PHP (18-26 USD), which can be spent during the day on food and drinks. The shortest route from the reception to the beach promenade is through a muddy and unlit street past a construction site now frozen due to environmental violations.
Breakfast choices are scarce. For example, there is no ordinary cheese, sausage, ham – literally not a single kind, not a single piece. To be precise, in 9 days cheese and sausage were given only once – January 1 – uneaten leftovers from New Year's dinner. There's never been a tomato in nine days. There were not many other familiar positions. The juices are bagged and very heavily diluted.
- For airport transfers, they use a third party contractor, Bamboo Travel and Tours. If possible, it is best not to use their services. On the return transfer to the airport, their driver was 30 minutes late without any apology.
I didn't find any special advantages at the hotel. The hotel is weak in many ways. Saves on everything you can and can't do. I won't come here again. I advise to immediately choose a hotel with its own sunbeds on the beach - there are many.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It was excellent. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The rooms were very comfortable. The food was very good. We ate at the trendy restaurant and hotel next to this hotel and the food was just ok. We had no complaints at all. I highly recommend it. Would most definitely stay there again.
