A great couples getaway
Excellent location with free parking for guests. A short walk to Burnham park, Session Road and plenty of tourist spots.
The hotel has several tiers of room, so make sure you book one of the newer rooms with comfortable beds and lots of storage. There are 2 restaurants, one cafe/family style with Filipino favorites, or an upscale restaurant/lounge with tasty cocktails and great food, they also had live music on the weekend, which was really special for me and my wife.
The room was spacious and clean, good service from the staff, but as with most places in the Philippines road noise can be an issue. I sleep with earplugs anyway so it was fine for me.
Our room didn't have an elevator, so wouldn't be suitable for people with disabilities or unable to use stairs.

Review of Venus Hotel, Baguio
The rooms were okay—modern with a rustic touch. Comfortable enough for a short stay. The location is great and the staff are genuinely kind and helpful.
That said, this hotel isn’t for everyone. I smoke cigars and vape, and the strict no-smoking rule was the biggest downside. If you want to smoke, you’ll need to go to a designated area in the back. Smoking outside is prohibited—the guards will stop you, and there’s a ₱3,000 fine if you’re caught.
The rooms also aren’t soundproof. You’ll hear people in the hallway—and even what’s going on in the next room (I could clearly hear the “boom boom boom”). Not exactly ideal if you’re after peace and quiet.
Another major issue is the lack of elevator for guests. During our stay, we had to walk up flights of stairs to the 3rd floor, which was tough especially since we had a senior with us. Carrying luggage up and down also made it inconvenient.
Overall, the location and staff are solid, but the strict smoking policy, thin walls, and lack of elevator make it less comfortable. Fine for groups on a budget, but personally, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Not worth for the money
Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price Anymore
We’ve been returning to Venus Parkview Hotel for years out of nostalgia, but sadly, it’s clear that the quality has gone downhill.
We called ahead to confirm if rooms with a Burnham Park view were available and were assured they were. However, upon arrival, we were given rooms with barely any view at all — just the parking lot. It felt misleading.
The rooms are not soundproof — the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything happening in the hallway and adjacent rooms. The hot water setup is also inconvenient. It doesn’t work immediately; staff have to activate it manually under the sink, and they take a long time to assist.
The reception is another major issue. Their phone line is practically useless. We called over five times and no one ever picked up. At ₱7,000 each (mind you, we got two rooms) for an executive king room, you’d expect a better experience. The amenities are outdated — towels are worn out and nearly gray, and the extra bed we paid ₱800 for was extremely uncomfortable. It felt like lying on bare metal with how thin the foam was.
Breakfast was also a letdown. The food was bland, and the glasses provided were visibly unclean.
The only redeeming part of our stay was the friendly and accommodating housekeeping staff. Honestly, they do a better job than the reception team, who need serious retraining.
This place used to be a go-to, but unless management makes real improvements — especially with their customer service and outdated facilities — we won’t be coming back.

Two nights stay in the City of Pines!
The hotel is located in Kisad Road just opposite of Burnham Park. It is very accessible and is on Baguio City proper. Room was spacious and basic. Sound proofing on rooms can be improve as it is very important to each and every guests. Breakfast items and service were alright with live performance from a singer everyday. Service was on point however can still be improved when it comes on staff being more proactive talking to guests and visitors. All in all a pleasant and basic stay at Baguio!

We requested for a quiet room but noise from other guests are loud. Otherwise it was a convenient location and staffs are helpful and always happy
