I did not understand when I booked that I would be staying in one building and that the bathrooms would be in another. I mistakenly assumed that the bathroom would be down the hall. So we had to go downstairs and then walk down to the other building to use the bathroom. The bathrooms were clean and in good working order except for the hand dryers. Both of the dryers in the ladies and gents bathrooms were out.
The room held a mini fridge, a bed, a mirror and a trash can. The bed was not the most comfortable either. The room was clean though.
They do offer laundry service. You can fill up a small basket and they charge you $20. We decided not to do that because we only needed one pair of shorts thrown into a dryer.
They have a pool and two ponds; one of the ponds was exceedingly brown.
We ordered room service and that was good. They charge an extra $5 to deliver to your room. I wanted to order dessert but they were out of ice cream.
We were able to check out extra early (06:00) and the night guard was very helpful. We had previously arranged for a taxi to pick us up but when they did not show up, the night guard called a taxi for us.
However the price was right; it was $29 usd for one night. I only needed one night. I can say that I would not stay longer than that unless maybe you rent a bure. They may have an indoor bathroom.

Something very different - basic, lots of bird calling, good value

Something very different just out of Suva in the forest with lots of bird life. Birds calling early morning & early evening - amazing
Basic but clean & comfortable accommodation. Restraunt reasonable meals and not expensive. Friendly staff.
Recommend getting a bush bungalow.

Forest Fijian experience

Location absolutely amazing! You are surrounded by the real Fijian jungle and the price is very reasonable.
We also had a couple massage that was absolutely great.
The breakfast was avarage, but everyone was very friendly and the view on the forest lake was very pleasant.
I recommend this place if you want experience something very different and unique.

Uncaring, Unacceptable and Unresponsive. Disgusting

I had booked a 13 night prepaid stay at this establishment through Booking.com. Upon approaching my room I was confronted with black mold on the front door. The double bed had no legs, the box mattress was sitting directly on the floor. The air conditioning was turned right down to 16C and the ceiling fan running at top speed. This was obviously to mask the moldiness that was evident in the room. The bathroom has not been properly cleaned for a long time, mold had firmly set in. The towel rail was missing.
When I approached the front desk to voice my dissatisfaction at the condition of my studio and asked to be moved I was advised I would need to pay another FJD60 a night to “upgrade” to another room.
I was finally given the hotel manager’s phone number to call, a Joanne Unido. She said she would discuss the matter with her staff. After waiting another 20 minutes I was advised that if I wanted to move I would have to pay the upgrade price. Alternatively, I could request a refund through Booking.com. Long story short, my request was “declined” by the establishment. I checked out after one sleepless night and have to date not received a refund for the remaining 12 nights I did not spend at this place. This left me out of pocket by circa NZD1,000.
