Tranquil location and a good starting point to visit reefs and caves of the Yasawas

Beautiful location. Great accommodation, friendly staff and delicious meals. Loved having fresh lobster and local fish. Particular thanks to Varani for her sense of humour and for going out of her way to make sure that we could do all the activities on our bucket list. Although we missed some of the cultural activities (they were not on during our stay) we loved our welcome and departure ceremonies and all the personal touches provided by the staff. Bula

The BEST experience

We stayed at Navutu Stars in May 2026, and it was, hands down, the best travel experience we have ever had. The care and attention from the staff were unrivaled and made an enormous impact on our trip. We didn’t just experience the Yasawas—we experienced them through people who made every moment feel personal, meaningful, and thoughtfully tailored to us.
The people are what made the most lasting impression. Every single person we encountered was friendly, smiling, and genuinely joyful. I would especially like to recognize a few incredible staff members:
Dan and Ms. Varani in the office were outstanding. While I was badly sunburned, Ms. Varani graciously offered me her own wide-brimmed hat to help shield my shoulders from the sun—an act of kindness that perfectly captures the spirit of this resort. Dan was always accommodating and never once showed frustration when we changed our minds about activities or excursions.
Pene and Wati always had smiles on their faces, kept us laughing, and freely shared their extensive knowledge of Fijian culture and history. Dan and Solo were absolutely incredible—hilarious, engaging, and constantly going above and beyond on excursions to ensure we had the best possible experience. Pene was always up for teaching us new Fijian phrases, along with how to say them in the local dialect—and for answering our ten thousand questions. A special thank you to Dan for giving us a personal tour of the village and sharing so much local knowledge. It was clear how respected and loved he is; everyone we passed immediately lit up with a smile, laughter, and started conversing when they saw him.
Aggie has hands of gold when it comes to massages. Not only was she amazing at what she does, but she was also instrumental in helping soothe my painfully sunburned shoulders.
Lido, Kula, and Tokasa consistently went above and beyond to make every meal perfect, and the chefs absolutely nailed it every single time. The cuisine was some of the best food we have had while traveling and is something we will forever crave.
A huge thank you to Kalesi for keeping our bure pristine and ensuring my Coca-Cola reserves were always fully stocked!
Last but certainly not least, I cannot forget the most important “unofficial” staff members—Dolly and Barney—who brought so much joy and personality to our stay.
If you are looking for relaxation, seclusion, peace, and serenity, I cannot recommend Navutu Stars highly enough. We researched many resorts before choosing Navutu Stars, and I am so grateful we did. The bures are exceptionally clean, private, spacious, and comfortable. The activities are top-tier, and the guides provide interactive, up-close, and unforgettable experiences every day.
For those who prefer to explore independently, there is plenty to do on the island, including snorkeling a beautiful reef right off the beach, kayaking, paddleboarding, and hiking. With only ten bures on the island, the resort feels wonderfully quiet, private, and peaceful—often as though you have the entire island to yourself.
If you’re considering a stay in the Yasawas, stop looking and book Navutu Stars. The stunning location is reason enough to visit, but it is the people who make this place truly unforgettable. We arrived as guests and truly left feeling like family (I cried!!). Navutu and staff will forever be in our hearts and memories. We cannot wait to make it back to experience the beautiful Yasawas and to see everyone again!
A VERY heartfelt vinaka vaka levu to everyone at Navutu!!
Sota tale,

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review: Navutu Stars Resort, Fiji (featuring kava, dancing, and a bit of wind)

My stay at Navutu Stars Resort was the kind of holiday that makes you seriously question why you ever return to normal life. The moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles, turquoise water, and a level of calm that made my brain instantly switch to island mode.
My bure was beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly positioned for lazy mornings and even lazier afternoons. The weather was a little windy during my stay, but it didn’t change a thing — if anything, it added a dramatic “windswept traveller” vibe to my holiday photos.
The food was consistently delicious. Fresh seafood, local flavours, and meals that made me consider whether I should start a petition to bring Fijian chefs home with me. Every plate felt like it had been made with genuine care.
One of the absolute highlights was the kava ceremony. I loved every moment of it — the stories, the tradition, the sense of community… and of course, the kava itself. After a few bowls, my tongue went numb, my shoulders dropped, and suddenly I was convinced I had the natural rhythm of a professional dancer. Which brings me to the dancing. The music, the laughter, the energy — it was impossible not to join in. I’m pretty sure my moves were… memorable. Whether for good or bad reasons, I’ll let the staff decide.
Despite the wind, the days were filled with snorkelling, kayaking, hammock‑lounging, and soaking up the kind of peace you can’t bottle. Navutu Stars has this rare magic where you feel both completely relaxed and joyfully alive.
If you’re looking for a place with stunning scenery, heartfelt hospitality, and just enough kava to make you believe you’re a dance legend, Navutu Stars Resort is your spot. I left with a full heart, a happy stomach, and memories I’ll be smiling about for a long time.
Thank you again to all the wonderful staff, you made me feel a part of your family.
