Top-notch all-around experience at Locke Copenhagen Hotel

So nice to be able to write a rave review! What a wonderful experience we had during our five nights at the Locke Copenhagen.! Absolutely nothing to improve upon. The staff were so friendly, welcoming, & helpful. I had lost a credit card & the replacement card was expedited via DHL to the hotel ahead of our arrival, where they kindly kept it until our arrival. They upgraded us to an even better beautiful suite with a great ciymty view. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous & excellent. The location is perfect, just behind the fabulous & massive Ny Carlsberg Glyptoteket art museum. Minutes walk to the main train station & a subway stop there. Easy walk to Tivoli & Christiansborg Palace. Secure & easy garage parking. All perfect for our stay. Can’t wait to come back & to try Lockes in other cities.

Great for a 2-3 night break, but avoid for longer stays

This hotel has a great location, but after staying here for 7 nights, we found it is not set up for longer trips.
The Positives: You cannot beat the location for exploring Copenhagen, and it works wonderfully as a base for a very short trip due to proximity of central station.
The Negatives: The welcome at check-in was a bit cold. When we got to our room, we were disappointed to find dirty crockery left inside, didn’t expect to have to wash up someone else's mess. The room was small with a very poor layout and lack of storage space. I repeatedly banged my head on the side tables next to the bed, and the TV was mounted on the wrong wall, making it incredibly awkward to watch from the bed. Our sleep was impacted during our stay. The nearby trains are very noisy, and whenever a door closed along the corridor, it literally shook our entire room. The curtains were not blackout, so let in too much light rather than blocking it out, so we got poor sleep. While a lack of sleep is manageable for 2 or 3 nights, over a week long trip, the fatigue caught up with us.
Verdict: Highly recommended for a quick, small weekend trip, but if you are staying in Copenhagen for more than a few days, I would advise booking elsewhere to protect your sleep.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We were able to check in earlier than expected with no trouble. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I've ever been to ! The room has all you need and more and the location os great, within a walking distance anywhere.

Great location and lovely staff! Allowed us free luggage storage when we travelled to Stockholm for a night. Walking distance to Central station, many restaurants & cafes, and sites. Caution: cyclists are fast and take right-of-way; and I was nearly pickpocketed between Locke Copenhagen and Central station. Lovely trip and location despite these negatives.

Friendly and cheerful staff, great location near the central train station and Tivoli Gardens. Walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Room was comfortable and hotel services were excellent, e.g., stored our luggage overnight despite checking out. Highly recommend and I would stay here again!
