An architectural gem and the best cinnamon bar in the world!
We stayed here for a weekend, where we urgently stood and lacked accommodation near Gilleleje. The place is beautifully located with views of Øresund, but the buildings themselves are almost more beautiful than the view. If you have the slightest veneration for Danish architecture, design and art, this place is a delight for the eye and soul. Here is simply so nice, and everything is respectfully kept and preserved in the original style and very well kept. The room we stayed in was not large, but nice and with relatively new bathroom. There was also nice and clean. The breakfast was really good - and overlooking the sea - and especially the cinnamon bar was heavenly! All in all a positive experience, which we did not expect to have, as we should have stayed somewhere else.

The property is nice and spacious. The rooms are comfortable. Two upgrades would help greatly. Currently guests who may have heavy baggage with them due to the length/duration of their stay have to lift/haul it up the stairs in multiple places which is highly inconvenient. Constructing ramps in appropriate locations should be a relatively simple but highly value-added convenience to provide for guests. Also upgrading electrical outlets to contain USB A and USB C charging outlets for electronic devices alongside the normal power outlets would be really helpful.

Nice site in nature next to the sea
Very nice place. Good food, coffee around the clock. nice surroundings and good walking distance from Elsinore if you like to walk. We went to the hotel. Will definitely go there again. Very nice staff

Breakfast was a really nice part of this stay! The grounds were beautiful and so was the art. The only downside was the very early check out at 9 AM. Preferred staying here to downtown Helsingør, even though it was further from the train station.

Feels like camp school stay
Piss old and worn place
Comes water from the ceiling of
Mug and mold in the shower cabin
The wall is made of cardboard and you can hear right through
The curtains don't cover a shit and there's so much light coming in from all the cracks
that it's enough to think you're south of
Funny when the opposite is belt raving dark inside the room and old yellow light so you can barely see yourself in the mirror
Poor breakfast, almost no selection cold, dry and loose
Not at all handicappable place, masses of stairs and a huge labyrinth
And last and not least, total overpricing
Or a lovely place with good views, good location and masses of potential
Needs a loving hand and maybe one should realize that it is not as sharp as in the early 70s as when it was built

Blandt andet er det derfor ikke muligt for os at foretage omfattende ændringer af vægge og indretning på samme måde som i nyere hoteller.
Vi arbejder løbende på at vedligeholde og forbedre de eksisterende faciliteter med respekt for bygningens arkitektur og fredningsstatus, så vores gæster fortsat kan få en god oplevelse i de historiske rammer.
Vedrørende tilgængelighed er vi opmærksomme på, at vores bygning ikke kan tilbyde samme handicapvenlige forhold som moderne byggeri.
Vi forsøger altid at informere så tydeligt som muligt om faciliteterne, så gæster kan vurdere, om stedet matcher deres behov, og vi hjælper meget gerne med at finde den bedst mulige løsning ved forespørgsel inden ankomst.
Som en gestus og i håb om at kunne give jer en bedre oplevelse af hotellet, vil vi gerne tilbyde en overnatning i et af vores Deluxe-værelser i den kommende fremtid, det kan i booke ved at ringe til receptionen ifølge aftale med Kristina Jørgensen.
