Goldsmedens beautiful landing at home in Aarhus
Since Guldsmeden facilitated Guldsmedgade in Aarhus a few decades ago, I have chosen the hotel chain, if possible.
Primarily due to the atmosphere, service and delicious rooms Bali-style.
And because of a unique breakfast.
The expectations were high when my girlfriend and I checked in at the brand new Belle Guldsmeden in Aarhus.
Once again, reality exceeded expectations.
We stayed in a spacious junior suite that, among other things, was air-conditioned in both the bedroom and the living room.
Pure luxury, the windows cannot be opened.
The bathroom again had the delicious soaps and shampoo mm, and the bathroom also had a good futuristic feature at the sink.
It was uncomfortable and the heaven bed was of the highest quality.
And the breakfast. It just doesn’t get better, and even though the dining room is large, the interior with the unique lamps, special boxes and various furniture helps to create an atmosphere that together with the food meant that we sat longer than expected.
In the middle of a big city like Aarhus, it is difficult - maybe impossible - to build a hotel with three terraces on each of its world corners, so the sun wasn't far away if you needed to sunbath.
A large indoor pool must be a hit, a one neither it nor the hotel's spa we established acquaintance with.
Back there is what binds it all together - the service.
Improper, professional and friendly at the same time, and it is a cocktail few masters, but that has been characteristic of all my stays at one of the Goldsmeden hotels.
With the new hotel, Belle Guldsmeden is landed beautifully in Aarhus, where Strøget, Bruuns Gallery and Dokk1 are a short walk away.
The only negative is that we only had two nights in the place, where the goldsmeden whispered as much with the wings that we would rather than like to have been.

Lovely central
Nice hotel with fresh staff.
Nice pool area and delicious sun terraces.
A bit challenged at breakfast buffet as everything seems to have to be as rough as possible, but there was fruit and vegetables present.
Good coffee and juice.
To enjoy it fully, you should go to the terraces where there is more air around one, as the neighboring buildings are close to the dining room.

Hard for glasses wearers to go to bath without glasses if the heat needs to be adjusted. A bit the same with the hand wash when you have got water in your head.
I think that this is probably the way it goes and we got it all to go onay.
A little difficult to open the coffee bags in the rooms without scissors.
The clippers gave rise to some funny comments as they can be assembled in the wrong way or the right one.
Yes, we will probably be back at a later date.

COMPLETELY NEW HOTEL WITH GOOD LOCATION FOR RESPECTING YEARHUS
We had a really good stay at this brand new boutique hotel, perfectly located between Bruuns Gallery and the harbour. The hotel is so new that it almost still smells new, and it all looks modern, stylish and welcoming with a cosy boutique atmosphere.
The neighborhood around the hotel has been newly established and has undergone major changes in recent years. The area is still under development, but it looks really promising and becomes exciting to follow. At the same time the location is really good. It is only about five minutes' walk to both Bruuns Gallery and Aarhus Main Railway Station, and approximately five minutes' walk to Aarhus Street Food.
There is a beautiful view of both the harbour and the city from the hotel's upper floors, and the hotel has a cosy pool area that is perfect for relaxation. In addition, there are many cozy hooks and lounges both inside and out, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or just relax.
The breakfast buffet was delicious with a fine and varied selection, so there was something for every taste. The staff also deserves great praise. They were welcoming, smiling and very service-oriented throughout the stay.
An additional plus is that guests can use a well-equipped fitness center in the neighboring building for free.
The only thing that pulled a little down was a couple of relationships. Children under 14 years old are only allowed to use the pool between 12:00 and 16:00. This is an unnecessarily limited opening time, which especially affects families who only spend one night, because in practice, the children can risk not enjoying the pool at all. Hopefully, the hotel will consider changing as an extension of the time will make the experience even better for families with children.
We had also booked two connecting rooms, which worked really well. On the other hand, we found that the surcharge was very high. The total price corresponded almost to the price of three rooms, which in our opinion is a somewhat high price for getting two rooms with connecting door.
A tip for other guests: Park your car at Bruuns Gallery and walk to the hotel via the Coal Bridge. It is an easy and pleasant ride in a few minutes.

**Great disappointment – not meeting expectations**
We stayed at Belle Guldsmeden for two nights and, unfortunately, the hotel did not meet our expectations.
The location of the hotel was the first disappointment. The area around the hotel is characterized by construction work with containers, blockages and mess, and parking conditions are poor. You are referred to Bruuns Gallery, which means a longer walk with luggage.
We largely chose the hotel because of the pool, but it was the biggest disappointment. It was constantly crowded and mostly resembled a children’s playground. Even though children are not allowed after 16 o'clock, there were still many children in the pool around 18 o'clock, as were wagons and sleeping infants around the pool. Used towels were everywhere, and the area seemed messy. During our two-day stay we completely gave up using the pool.
We had booked a King Size room, but it felt very small. The mattress was so bad that we both woke up with back pain both in the morning. The windows cannot be opened, so you are dependent on a noisy air conditioner.
The hotel's recyclable water system is a sympathetic idea, but in practice very frustrating. You cannot go directly into the bath after each other because the system must clean itself, and each time you have to wait 30-60 seconds before water comes out of the shower.
The breakfast was nothing special either. In our opinion, powdered eggs do not belong in a hotel in this price range.
The staff seemed very young and inexperienced. There was a lack of the warmth, professionalism and welcoming that one expected.
Overall, the stay was a big disappointment. We will not return and we can unfortunately not recommend the hotel.

Just an amazing stay at this beautful and luxurious hotel in Århus! We loved the rooms, the pool and sauna-area, the very friendly staff and the wonderful ambience in the hotel. The breakfast was small but with tasty quality food, and the restaurant dinner was excellent! Will absolutely return!
