Great value for money. Old communist era hotel but well renovated, clean and comfortable. In a nice location, ski area a hiking trails nearby. Good breakfast. Better hotel than other more expensive options in the area.

We were the only guests in the hotel. Was not a good experience and felt very much an inconvenience to them.

Very nice place to rest

Very nice place to rest near the beautiful Sumava area or to ski during the winter.
The rooms we stayed in (one for the parents, one for the children) were quite small together with the bathroom.
Half board option.
The buffet for breakfast and for the dinner were tasty, only local food with good advice from the waiters.
This place is well equipped (welness area, dedicated room for children, billiard, ping-pong, table football, darts).
The waiters are very nice.

Good quality of living and dining and fair price

Visited in May 2019, bought as a last minute for good price. The hotel is in the very nice place, with beautiful view to Šumava. Room clean, nice, just bathroom little bit small. Dining very good, especially if you purchase breakfast and dinners. Very nice staff. The hotel has main restaurant, than evening restaurant (Pillner beer and Velkopopovický kozel, meals from the menu) and in the groundfloor also small wooden bar where we met friendly staff as well. Good beer for just 1 EUR. Overall, very nice place to have rest after the trip. The only problem was not good wifi signal at the room.

Dinner resembles a school canteen.

Location of the hotel is excellent next to winter ski slopes. Our two rooms were clean and renovated. What needs to improve is the elevator, most probably 25+ years old.
Separately I stress restaurant half board. Dinner must be selected evening before one of 3 possible meals. No other option. It is a hotel, not school canteen :(
