Nice place yo stay

We had chosen this accommodation because of its position in the center of Vela Luka. But in addition to the excellent position, I must also praise the owners. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean and the owners are always at hand if you need it.

Incredible location, lovely, comfortable, and much care has been taken.

My husband and I loved this place! It's smack in the middle of Vela Luke and is close to the harbor, restaurants, shops, beaches, and is right next to a grocery store. It's also connected to a restaurant, where I had the best seafood marinara over spaghetti I've ever had, really! The room is small, but everything is new and good quality, and who spends much time in their room anyway in Vela Luka? The hallways and staircase have the old tile and woodwork and it's lovely. We were very happy here, no complaints.

Dissapointed in the owner and lack of integrity

My family booked 1 evening here via Booking.com. Never being in Croatia or any of the islands I had a couple of questions to all hotels we booked at and got great descriptions from them as to where to go and what to do. Unfortunately not once did the owner of Vela Luka mention, after I told him we will be arriving via the Jardjolina ferry, that there are two ports!!! Needless to say when we arrived at the port (not the vela luka one) at 9 in the evening we had to find out that it was yet another 45 minutes drive with a taxi to the B&B Vela Luka and that it will cost us 400 Kuna to get there (and obviously another 400 to get back the next day to catch the ferry to Dubrovnik). I immediately emailed B&B V/Luka and explained and asked for a refund as we now had very tired children and had to find accommodation and make a decision wether it was worth it to pay 800Kuna's in transport or fork out 700Kunas for accommodation where we were at (which by the way we booking last minute with amazing hosts).
The latter was the best option. But needless to say there was no understanding from the owner at the B&B and not even a partial refund was considered by him. He just went on defending himself and the fact that he told us he was in Vela Luka. Look, I'm not blaiming anyone. I was stupid to not have asked. But, hell he could have atleast showed some understanding and be ethical enough to give a partial refund. But, I guess atleast he got the money and didn't have to clean the room the next day. We stayed at about 7 different hotel's throughout our journey in Croatia, and this one was by far the most dissapointing with regards to service and .... well just plain common decency! I'm sure it's a lovely place to stay at and all the wonderful reviews are 100% correct. Just sorry that the owner had such a bad attitude with me, somewhere in the furture he might need a favour and I do hope the person giving him assistance will be much more understanding that he was with us!

Nice buissines trip!

Nice accommodation in centar of place Vela Luka.
Unfortunatly we stay just one night on buissnes trip, i hope so next lime longer.
Good conversation with owner, clean rooms,wi-fi,air condition and perfect position of rooms.

Excellent choice in Vela Luka

I really liked Vela Luka and B&B Vela Luka is great. Our room and bathroom were both large and very clean. We choose one of the rooms with a small balcony, which was nice and had a partial water view. Otherwise, there is outdoor seating downstairs from the B&B at the ice cream shop below. There is a small communal kitchen/fridge that comes in handy. The location is excellent for walking anywhere in town and to the ferry. Tony, the owner and other staff are very helpful & accommodating.
