Due diligence is key

There aren’t many reviews on this lodging, so an updated one is probably needed. Rovinj has many options- it’s difficult to choose one from another. For this hotel, just know that the “free parking” does not mean “free parking at hotel”. ALL hotels in the old town of Rovinj do not have parking, as private vehicles are largely forbidden from entering the old town at all. Almost all parking is at a distance, and some hotels have leased spaces at the Franciscan Monastery. Casa Colloredo is one of these - yet they have three spaces only, and the other options that are “free” are quite a distance away. The monastery parking itself requires about a 15 minute hilly walk down and up old slippery rough stones, and suitcases do not roll well over these cobblestones at all. Both Colloredo buildings do not have elevators either, so if you can’t cope with these issues don’t book here.
The location itself is good. It’s near several good restaurants as well as the town swimming areas. The beach bars also have water access and are mostly free to use during the mornings and early afternoons. The room I had was spacious and the AC and appliances worked ok, WiFi was almost nonexistent, the two terraces were nice to have. There’s a teeny market across the alley, and a reasonable Konzum store at east walking distance. Beds were comfortable and furnishings, while oddly placed, were not distracting. Check in was easy and there were no issues during my stay.
Bottom line - if you are looking for something in this area, this is an option. If you have suitcases I would highly suggest Sunny To Go’s golf cart service. Rovinj is lovely but not a good base to use to explore Istria because of the parking situation which makes daily car use a PITA.

Fantastic location

Great studio apartment, very well equipped and fantastic location in the middle of the old town. Everything on your doorstep but quiet.
Owners very helpful, arranging transport from airport and someone to meet us in the Town Square to take us to the apartment (pedestrianised area).
Sympathetic restoration of a heritage building, tastefully done.

Отличные апартаменты!

Пожалуй, самые лучшие апартаменты, в которых когда-либо приходилось жить.
Очень красивый и стильный дизайн, чисто, опрятно, все необходимое есть - фен, плита, посуда, хороший доступ к интернету. Отдельно хочется выделить местоположение - 3-4 минуты и ты на море, буквально за углом есть продуктовый магазин. Ночью спалось хорошо, не шумно. Только вот до парковки далековато, но если ехать без машины, то это не будет проблемой.

Dovolená v malebném městě

Ubytování s krásným výhledem a koupánim nedaleko. Spousta malých restaurací poblíž, skvělé jídlo. Hodně schodů do pokoje a kluzké kameny v ulicich stojí za ten zážitek. :) Pokoje jsou sice malé, ale pro tento druh pobytu bohatě stačí.

Un appartement charmant en plein cœur de la vieille ville

Les + :
- Emplacement idéal à la fois au calme et au milieu de la vieille ville
- Propre
- Ambiance cosy très agréable avec les pierres apparentes
- Ambiance lumineuse agréable renforçant l'ambiance cosy de l'appartement
- Réactivité du propriétaire (nous n'avions pas d'eau chaude le matin et à notre retour en fin de journée ce problème était résolu)
Les - :
- L'espace est plutôt restreint, nous nous attendions à plus d'espace au regard des photos (mais cela est cohérent avec les 20m² décrits dans l'annonce)
- Manque de serviettes
- Coffre qui ne fonctionne pas
- Manque de support pour poser des affaires dans la salle de bains
- Lit beaucoup trop mou le rendant inconfortable
- Manque de prises
- Il n'y a pas de kit de bienvenue (appartement et non hôtel) donc il faut prévoir ses gels douche, shampoing, chaussons, savon mains, cotons etc.
- Si vous vous êtes rendus en voiture à Rovinj, il faut bien avoir en tête que le parking n'est pas juste à côté de l'appartement et qu'il faudra que vous traversiez les rues escarpées de Rovinj pour vous y rendre avec vos bagages. Pour pallier cela, Milica propose un service de transport à 10€ (fortement recommandé !)
Au global, bon rapport qualité / prix !
