Great buffet breakfast, excellent Japanese restaurant, middle of NINGBO city center . Walkable to everywhere, fantastic hotel, beautiful room and bathroom. Nothing bad to say about this one

Comfortable room and friendly staff. Hotel is older and a bit outdated however it was fine and location was good.

Nice hotel, but smell of cigarettes in all the rooms
Nice modern hotel, rooms are big and well designed.
Reception staff does it best (even if there English is not best).
Breakfast buffet is very nice.
The only big downside for me and the reason I don't give it a 5 is the smell of cigarette in all rooms. I asked for a non smoking room, opened the room and smell of smoke, they gave me another room that smelled of smoke too (both at non smoking floors).
Hotel is kept clean, Lobby is nice and big, the gym and spa looked very nice too.

Westin Ningbo created a lot of troubles
Front desk woman is not qualified for the job. She doesn't intend to help but make troubles to the guests. She lied a lot. The hotel charged to a wrong credit card to give me a lot of trouble. If you are not a native Chinese, you do not have a Chinese banking account with Chinese currency in it, do not go there. If you have to go, avoid to stay there!!

Manage your expectations
Check in was very efficient and without any undue drama. My room was on the 34th floor which gave me a great view. While the hotel is dated, it seems to have been well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the amenities in the room were nice.
The air conditioning…well…3 of us were traveling together and all had the same experience…rooms would never get below 25 or 26C on 78 F.
The lounge as the best part. Jay is a gem! He was super polite, friendly, helpful and made me feel right at home. He seemed incredibly well trained and capable. Rita, also in the lounge, was delightful, although more reserved.
The lobby bar…
3 Americans walk into a bar at 3:15pm and order a Jack and Diet, Gin and tonic and a bottle of Budweiser…
20 minutes later the gin on the rocks comes and a can of Pepsi. After numerous interactions, we finally had our drinks 34 minutes later. We were the only ones in the bar. The poor girl serving us is. It to blame, she was not properly trained.
Breakfast was OK, but we could not order freshly prepared eggs as they seems to have some equipment failure.
Without training and equipment, it’s difficult to have the 5 star experience expected at a prestigious brand like Westin.
The staff all tried their best, but missed the mark in most cases because they were not properly trained or didn’t have the resources to provide the expected experience.
