Pobyt: wrz 2025

Nothing like the picture. No windows in the room. I got one towel for my entire stay, and no cleaning during the stay, although I was demanded extra for cleaning, about HKD36 a day. Aircondition was very noicy, but worked fine though. Be prepared for a very crowded space. And nothing German about it either, its run by indians who also run a few more hostels in the same building.

Germany Hostel is on the six floor, but reception is on the tenth floor so you gotta go tenth floor first to check in. And in the room, there is no toilet paper and towel so take them at the reception.
And way of going up there is also difficult cuz Chungking mansion has many elevators. Just follow the sign for elevator D.

two strange people at the reception, no hospitality spirit and friendly attitude. only 1 Indian lady at the reception helped me and shared a little info. also 1 room maid (Chinese) who was very kind offering towels and cleaning the room, she was very kind and smiled a lot.

You get, what you pay for.
It’s cheap, very centrally located and the staff is friendly. The room was okay, but the bedsheets were dirty and there were many cockroaches. Also, we had no toilet paper or towels. There is a microwave oven and a kettle on the floor available.
When you only need to sleep, it’s okay. My girlfriend felt there very uncomfortable and we left one day earlier.
