Wonderful staff; need for improvements

The Villa Park Hotel Recife has an excellent staff - everyone is caring, kind, attentive. They do everything they can to provide guests with an excellent stay. I highlight at the reception the kindness of Érik and Elijah. The breakfast is excellent, with a lot of variation in the menu and little items offered at breakfast; like banana from the earth, meat, chicken. The cakes are delicious, especially the banana and tapioca. The fruits are sweet, really selected. Highlight for Nino, who welcomes everyone in the cafe with a smile and cordiality. The cleaning is excellent - room very well cleaned and organized whenever we returned from congress or tours. With the staff that the Villa has, the hotel could be much more than it is. The owners need to invest in the so-called triple room. In fact, the hotel does not have triple rooms for three adults; but triple rooms for two adults and one child. Such rooms have two adult beds (or a double bed, if you prefer) and a small bed - well narrow and of less compliment than adult beds. The receptionist Elias did everything possible to make it possible to replace the small bed with another for an adult, but the staff cannot operate miracles, because the rooms are standardized and, if there are three beds, there will always be two for an adult and one for a child. Still, Elijah would get the change of bed for the next day; after the first night. I was lucky because my child's bed had a good mattress - so I thanked him and stayed with the bed. Before I stayed, however, I asked to change my room, for the child bed mattress was very bad. The owners of the Villa Park Hotel need to invest in furniture and improve the ambiance of the rooms, with a paint renovation and choice of colors that make the frames more cozy... everything is excessively beige. In addition, the way to arrange the beds in the 24-m triple room is terrible for three adults - we reorganized the layout of the beds and the room became much larger than it seemed to be.

Hoaxes, lies, miscoordination.

We went as a group, to spend one night. We knew that the restaurant closed at 10 pm and we planned to arrive at 9 pm, seeing that the traffic delayed us we communicated and we were told that there were no problems that if we were late they would attend us.
We arrived at 9.55pm at reception and were told to leave the bags and go up to the restaurant, which we are closed, with diners and staff inside. After a long time standing waiting we were opened by one of the Service and told us that it was closed, we told him about the reception and he replied that it was closed but that room Service was available (all night).
We went to our rooms and the phone listed as a restaurant did not answer , at reception when claiming we were told that number was not correct and provided another which..... did not answer.
The coordinator of the travel group went down to reception (at that time it was 11 pm) where after an interjection with the receptionist who told her to insist+erams calling the restaurant he forced himself to take the orders and take them to the restaurant .She had to call each of the 10 one by one and deliver the orders.
For me, it arrived at 23.55, a pizza with the cold dough and the hot sauce (I guess it was a frozen prepizza to which they put the sauce and took to oven).
The restaurant is called Amendoeiras and from what he said has Extra Hotel Delivery Service.
The right room, the right bathroom but the mattress (two-seater bed touched me) was expired on one side... so there was a level.

Not advisable

Very weak and limited hotel, but well located.
Reasonable breakfast
Weak restaurant,, I do not recommend.
Pool just to show you have.
On arrival the room was poorly clean
Noisy for not having noisy windows and is located in a busy street
In my opinion a 2, forcing 3, stars
Would not return, despite the attentive and kind staff

Good location with honest price

Hotel has an excellent location, allowing easy access to practically all of Recife's attractions. We needed to request a room change because the one they gave us had an unbearable smell of cigarettes. They promptly responded to our request. The breakfast was within expectations, considering the price range.

Honest and met expectations.

Hotel outside the classic hotel region of Recife. We stayed in this region because it would serve us in restaurants that we would like to visit and because it is also close to ground zero and other tourist attractions.
The attendants were very helpful, we entered the room well before check-in as the room was already free.
We found it clean and honest for the high season price.
There is parking, we didn't take the car out for anything, we took an Uber every day.
The breakfast is satisfactory, quite ok for the price per night.
I consider the hotel to be for a few days and for those who don't want to invest a lot in accommodation in the region, it is ideal for those who need a place just for a shower and a night's sleep after a day full of tourist stops in Recife.
