Disappointing!
When we reached the rooms, we already faced several problems. In two of them, there was no toilet paper roll. When requesting at the reception, only one roll was provided initially, which forced us to request again – which, for a five-day stay, passed the impression of cost containment. Also there was no soap in the sink, face towel or carpet to get out of the box.
In room 201, the sink tap was completely disproportionate to the size of the cub, hardly fit the hand underneath to be able to use it. The discharge had little pressure, causing flow problems. The rubbed towels gave noise when using them – in room 108, a bad repair left much of the support unusable, as the pieces did not fit in the frites. The doors presented precarious finish and difficulty entering the rooms, having to make pressure to be able to open them. In addition, there was no support for toilet paper. In room 212, unlike the others, there were no two chairs on the balcony. We signaled the problem, but my parents had to charge again. Fortunately, Rafael was at the reception and quickly resolved the situation. Also a shameful frigobar in their room, tiny in size and well rusted.
In room 208, where my father-in-law stayed, the air conditioning did not work properly, which aggravated the presence of pernilongos. The structure, as well as the rest of the rooms, highlighted the "pushadines" made in the hotel – with the ceiling plaster peeling, rusted air conditioning and doors in poor condition. In identifying the air conditioning problem, my husband triggered the reception. As a solution, they offered the temporary switch to room 108 (located at the bottom, with partial loss of sea view) until the problem was resolved. The next day, a technician made the gas exchange and my father-in-law were able to return to the original room, but having this room exchange disorder.
In room 201, we faced problems with the Wi-Fi signal and the TV, which didn't work. We informed the reception on the first day and charged the return on two other occasions, without success. Only on the third day of stay, when I personally insisted again, we were offered the exchange for room 108 (also offered to my father-in-law the night before). However, this room presented other problems: it did not have the two chairs in the outside area, the frigobar outlet was unused (due to a "pushadinho" that covered a possible hole) - we moved to the outlet that would be the cell phone charger, the light switch was distant from the bed, and the shower was burned, forcing us to take a cold bath. Also, the bathroom window was broken.
When my mother-in-law requested the room to be cleaned, she asked about the bathroom rug and was informed that there were available rugs – which evidences the lack of standard in the room arrangement, as other rooms were also without these basic items.
The supports for liquid soap and shampoo/conditioner installed in the boxes were empty or with insufficient product, making it difficult to use. The blackout curtains of room 201 were short, allowing light to enter and waking us up sooner than we wanted.
Another critical point was the state of the sliding doors in the upper rooms (201, 208 and 212), which were extremely difficult to open, possibly due to lack of proper maintenance – no oil should pass in a while. In addition, all doors presented problems to lock with the key, and with easy access to other guests to access the rooms.
In the last few days of the stay, the intense rain further highlighted the structural flaws of the hotel. There were droplets in the hallways, with ceilings clearly in need of urgent repair. The area where the swing table was located, which was already in terrible condition (with tacos without a tip and no grit), was soaked with rain, making it impossible to use it as a leisure option during the rainy periods.
In short, the hotel needs urgent structural reform. Small "pushadines" do not solve the problems and only aggravate the lack of quality standards of the rooms and other areas of living.
