Good location and point problems
On my first day (Saturday), I checked in, took a bath and went to the beach. Upon returning to the hotel at the end of the day, I noticed that the towel (the only one in the room) was still wet. I then ordered at the reception, another towel to take a new bath. At this point, the attendant ROSÂNGELA, who had done my check-in hours before, raised her eyes and asked another attendant MADURO, GRISALHO and de ÓCULOS (I don’t know the name): “Can you do that, dude?” Her reaction was a surprise, as it seemed that I was ordering a bottle of champagne of courtesy, not a reles towel!
Without even greeting me, Maduro looked at me and said firmly: "Did you take the towel to the beach? You can't." I replied that no, that she had stayed in the room and that she was still wet. All I wanted was a second towel to take a bath. Half upset, he said he'd have the governance deliver one in the room. I waited forty minutes and no towel was delivered. No choice, I took my bath with the wet towel.
And so my days passed: I took a bath in the morning, left the towel open on a table and TORCIA so that, at the end of the day, it was more or less dry.
The interesting detail is that a sign in the bathroom said that the towels (in plural) would be changed every two days. This only happened once. I spent much of my time with the same unique towel.
By the way, the governance of the hotel is chaotic: each camaraderie arranged the room differently. The bed patch, for example, was put on only once. Not even on the check-in day she was on the bed. There was a day when they filled the bathroom sink with small soaps, put a blue liquid in the toilet, and neither did the bed! That is, every time I went back to my room at night, I had a different surprise!
It is worth remembering that on the second day (Sunday), the maid took the hand towel away and it was only returned on Friday, two days before my departure. I was taking a bath and washing my hands with the same wet towel. Day after day, night after night.
This Friday (day 04 Dec), my card to enter the room did not work. I had to go to the reception to ask to set it up again. I took advantage to complain, once again, the absence of the towel and informed that the towel had never been restored. I was afraid they thought I had stolen. Maduro was at the reception and said he'd have to deliver it. In the same place was a young man of bright brown hair, very gentle, who was visibly stunned when I told what was going on. He was also the one who took two new bath sheets (finally!) and a pair of bath towels - exactly two days before my departure and six days after my arrival... Absolutely unnecessary.
Another interesting point is the obligation that guests returning from the beach use the service elevator. I have no problem with that, but the elevator is at the end of the garage and you have to go through a glass door. Every time I did that, the receptionist ran after me to see where I was going. It only stopped when they started recognizing me as a guest. I confess it was weird to get into the hotel and know that as soon as a new receptionist saw me going to the garage, he would run out to see what I was doing / where he was going.
Breakfast, in turn, is simple, but satisfying. The curious side is the idea of making cheese tapioca in advance and leaving it in a tray for the guest. Needless to say, when eating, she was cold and with the cheese completely hard... I didn't understand the chef's intention. If it is not possible to do it on time, it is better to remove it from the menu.
One day, a mining guest asked if there was cheese bread. A servant at the restaurant said they only do Friday to Sunday... I did not understand the restriction, although I have no problem not eating the product. Anyway, the information was false, because in the nine days I stayed at the hotel, there was no cheese bread ever.
The room, in turn, was spacious and nice. But the double bed (which I had booked) was actually two single beds put together.
Finally, the strength of the hotel is really the location, as it is close to the 'divisions' between Cabo Branco and Tambaú. However, I would not have seen back the issue of the towels. I found something pretty petty and unnecessary. Friends I made in town and on tours laughed when I told my saga, because they had never seen anything like that... To be honest, neither am I!
