Lovely spacious accomodation perfectly located

I am very pleased that we chose to stay at Khalkob Estate during my time in Belize. We stayed in the beautiful 3 bedroom master suite, which offers a full kitchen, 2 full bathrooms with bath tubs, a living room with a balcony. Everything was modern with detailed touches such as bedroom doors which displayed high quality and creative woodwork. AC's and ceiling fans were in all rooms. This suite also offered a water cooler with filtered water which was better than complimentary plastic bottled waters (in my opinion). Cleanliness was 10/10. It was conveniently located, near the boardwalk which leads to the shops, restaurants and beach area where you could swim at the end of the peninsula, while also being feet away from the main street where stores and restaurants were also offered. I will definitely stay again when returning to Belize.

Great location

Loved the location! Close to the beach and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops.
Clean, not fancy and no extra frills but good for the price. ( We had the efficiency). Housekeepers pleasant but only came.every 4 days.
One thing that kept me from giving a better review is that when I asked reception for more toilet paper and then asked housekeeping for more paper towels I was told no. When I voiced.objection, she did give me an eztra roll of TP but made me.feel like she was doing me a huge favor. Come on, 1-1/2 rolls of toilet paper for a 2 week stay as well as a partial roll of paper towels?!! I felt this was a reasonable request . So if you stay, be prepared to BUY your basic necessities. Also, if tou want laundry done it is $20 a load in US dollars. We just sink washed our own as did both other couples we were with. Otherwise, a very nice stay in a beautiful place

NO REGRETS!

The property was serene and modern. It was a Home away from home in a perfect location in the village which made our stay convenient.
Will visit again soon.

Not what we paid for and expected.

Let me start off on a positive note. The beds were firm and very comfortable, and the room was clean…
My cousin and I visited Placencia from Jan4-11, 2025. We were under the impression we were renting a suite with kitchen amenities where we could cook some of our meals. ( According to the pics we saw) .
Upon arrival, what we have is a mini fridge and small microwave. No bathroom door, AND no shower curtain where you could get some privacy while you took your luke warm shower.
Two people registered and only one plate provided so we had to eat in shifts and
then wash the dish for next person to use..
Every other suite in the “ Estate” had bars on their doors and windows, we had none.
To be fair, once the manager was emailed, we were provided with a shower curtain, and an extra set of keys, My sister in a different suite got chairs provided for the table when she complained.
Just wasn’t what we signed up for, never been anywhere before that had no bathroom door, and no shower curtain..
One word, Underwhelmed!!

Disgusting accommodation

Worst lodging experience EVER, absolutely horrible! Over-priced dingy quarters, corroded cookware, unsafe burned-out electrical outlets, no way to avoid toxic metal flakes slicing under fingernails when closing rusted security door, terrifying noises erupting from plumbing pipes, toilet constantly filling up with someone else's noxious liquid excrement complete with a most vile and putrid stench.
