Beautiful eco resort and amazing host Chena
What a wonderful stay! We feel so lucky to have found Clarissa falls. It was by chance and to think it might have passed us by!
The whole place is like a blanket of comfort and warmth and we immediately felt at home. Chenna, her family and staff are so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Chenna has created the perfect environment right next to the river with the gentle sound of the cascading water. Food was beyond delicious! All home made on the premises and the best of our trip.
We felt privileged to be part of life at Clarissa Falls for a few days and we will remember our stay with very warm memories.

The warmest welcome to this beautiful inn by the Macal River
We had a wonderful time at Clarissa Falls Resort and can't wait to go back. Even though we arrived late the first evening, 8:30, Chena had a warm meal of traditional stewed chicken with beans and rice waiting for us. It was delicious. Our room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our time with Clarissa Cookie, the cat, and Jax the dog.

Unique place and host
“Chena is an incredible host. She treated me like a family member, gave me a lift, showed me toucans, and told me the story of her place and family. She takes great care of the local community. Her resort is simple but clean and beautiful, offering good food, affordable prices, and immense hospitality. I travel a lot around the world, but I have never experienced such hospitality. Absolutely recommended for all nature lovers

Great stay!
A special place for sure. Chena was an excellent hostess. We really didn't know what to expect but were satisfied in every way. Our expectations of the accommodations, the food, the drinks, the grounds, the hospitality were met. We loved our whole stay here and Chena and the girls in the kitchen made it so much better. My husband loved dipping in the Mopan river to cool off. The animals around the farm were a nice touch.

Best place to stay beforeafter visiting Tikal. Owner & staff ridiculously great!
There were too many great things to say about this location. The owner, Chena, was extremely nice and helpful during our entire stay. The property is right next to a river (with falls and a great swimming hole) and is a preserve of an old cattle ranch still in Chena's family. The bungalows were very comfortable and clean, with many decorative touches and amenities having been made by Chena herself. The restaurant on the property is full service and tasty as well. Our stay here centered around a trip to the Tikal ruins in Guatemala - we stayed the first night at Clarissa falls resort, leaving our rental car there as well while we were away, with Chena arranging all the travel to and from Tikal using drivers she has had long and excellent service from. We stayed the final night at Clarissa falls upon return from Tikal so we could get an early start back to the coast for some snorkel time. An added bonus for this resort is that it is very close to the Xunantunich ruins for a quick visit there. Lastly I wanted to say how much we appreciated Chena's over-and-beyond assistance with our challenges that started the day before when we discovered our credit card had been hacked and disabled.
