Good location, great value

The guesthouse rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and, although just off the main square of this lovely little town, particularly quiet. They contain every amenity that you might want (except for a room safe) and represent excellent value for money.

Lovely room around the corner from the central market

The main hotel was full so we booked the guesthouse which was just around the corner. Lovely and clean, comfortable and peaceful with the benefit of only having to walk around the corner to the hotel restaurant.Room was modern/ loft style with big bathroom ( walk in shower),chairs/ free coffee for relaxing at end of day and blinds that shut out all light for a good nights sleep. The family who ran the hotel made us feel very welcome. The bikes were stored in the garage at the guesthouse. Had two very good meals in the hotel restaurant which has a lovely extended almost conservatory like area at the back. Area great for cycling and plenty of good routes incorporating themes/ things to see.

geweldig hotel

Wij verbleven in Guesthouse Amfora, een nieuwbouw die iets verder van het hotel zelf ligt.
Wij hadden de kleinere kamer geboekt, maar deze was zeker en vast super in orde en toch niet zo klein. Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd. We hebben er heerlijk geslapen.
Het uitgebreide ontbijt was echt lekker en keuze genoeg van verschillende soorten brood en koffiekoeken, beleg, eitjes....
Ook het personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Wij komen zeker terug wanneer we nog eens in Poperinge moeten overnachten.

Top situation.

En plus du reaurant et de sa terrasse, l'atout majeur de cet hôtel est évidemment sa situation sur la Grand-place. Avec vue , à la fois sur la Maison Communale et l'église qui se font face comme pour un duel de valeurs (médiévales)...

Tweede bezoek was nog beter.

Dit weekend zijn we voor de 2de maal een nachtje verbleven in hotel Amfora. Onze kamer lag ietsje verder in de straat in een nieuwbouw "gastenkamers Amfora". Wij hadden deze keer "kamer 5" (100€) op het 2de verdiep. Heel mooie en grote kamer met luxe badkamer met douche, gratis faciliteiten zoals koffie, wifi, waterkoker, water,.... Heerlijke bedden en alles proper tot in de puntjes. Het ontbijtbuffet (14€/pers.) dat we in het hotel zelf hebben genomen (kan ook op de kamer) was zeer lekker en er was keuze genoeg.Pluspuntje voor het verse fruitsap en het lekker spiegeleitje. Zeer vriendelijke en vlotte bediening. Voor het volgende bierfestival in Poperinge komen wij zeker nog eens terug naar dit hotel.
Eén klein minpuntje : de afvoer van de douche was verstopt.
