Bertem Natuur is a former farm, a 15-minute drive from Leuven. It has a large garden, an on-site bicycle rental service, free on-site parking and cosy accommodation. The tastefully decorated rooms have a minibar and a balcony.

Disappointing stay, additional charges for late arrival, breakfast not included and no water in the morning
Additional charges for breakfast and late arrival. No water in the morning. Aggressive hostess.
I had high hopes for this B&B, but unfortunately, my experience was far from what was advertised or expected.
First, I was surprised to be charged an additional fee for arriving later in the evening — something that was neither mentioned during booking nor clearly communicated. For a place that should be offering hospitality, this felt more like a penalty than a welcome.
Secondly, despite being marketed as a bed and breakfast, breakfast was not no included. We were charged 20 euro per person. When I asked, I was met with an unapologetic and somewhat defensive response from the hostess — who, frankly, came across as quite aggressive throughout the stay.
To make matters worse, there was no water in the morning. I had to wait for awhile then limited flow came out from the tap. I was afraid to take chance for shower. When i mentioned it when checking out, they said due to water pressure. No apology whatsoever. I had to deal with a uncomfortable day myself, after a long journey and a busy day ahead.
Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming and misleading. I’d recommend looking elsewhere if you’re expecting basic comfort, clarity, and the courtesy one would normally associate with a B&B.
I would recommend to our travel agent to remove them on the list. Don’t want anyone who experienced what we went through.

Never again
The shower was in the hallway, with no way to close the door. The toilet was even on a different floor. My colleague did not feel comfortable spending the night in the basement and was offered a room in "the stable" as an alternative. "The stable" was furnished with all kinds of small rooms next to each other intended for cross-border workers, where they can also cook in a room that serves as a communal kitchen. However, the room proposed for her had already been reserved by a cross-border worker, although the owner claimed that this person would not show up that evening. Plus it also smelled like marijuana. Our colleague has therefore wisely decided to leave.
We kindly asked for our money back during a telephone conversation the next day, but that turned out not to be possible. In addition, the manager's husband stated that the conversation was recorded without asking us for permission in advance. In short, stay away from here!
