Overnight stay before hiking in The Alps
Location was perfectly positioned adjacent to the local train station (our arrival mode of transport), and whilst there isn't much to do in the village, there is a self-service mini-market located pretty much across the road.
Rooms were clean, large enough for an overnight stay, fresh towels and comfortable bed. Wi-fi worked for us reasonably well and plenty of power outlets for charging.
The owners are friendly and very helpful. We were able to leave some items at the property whilst we were away hiking (so the back packs were lighter!), and this was not a hassle to them at all. They also organised free bus transport for us to the start point of the hike, which is an initiative of the local tourism board.
There isn't much by the way of food in the village. Lucky for us, Gasthof Geraerhof is also a restaurant. We had a great table set aside for us, tasted some local dishes and enjoyed our dinner. The next morning, a light continental breakfast was served.
Minor points that did not detract from our stay - there are no toiletries provided, so make sure you bring your own, and breakfast, whilst plenty of volume, was reasonably basic and limited choices, but still freshly prepared and enough to get you ready for the day ahead. Minor things, and this should not detract from your stay.
Overall, we had an enjoyable brief stay and would recommend Gasthof Geraerhof as an accommodation option in the village or if looking to stay prior to or following hiking in The Alps nearby.

Gastvrij en uitgerust verblijf
Vriendelijke ontvangst, kindvriendelijk, ruime mooie nette kamer met mooi uitzicht en heerlijke bedden.
Overdekte parking, lekker eten ( de schnitzel is zeer lekker), lekker ontbijt.
We waren hier voor 1 overnachting, we komen zeker terug om wat meer tijd te spenderen in deze mooie omgeving.
Zeker een aanrader !!
