New year in thiersee

If you're looking for a peaceful place surrounded by picturesque scenery in Austria, Auer Guest House in Thiersee is that place you're searching for. Auer Guest House is located not far from a beautiful lake and surrounded by graceful peaks of the mountains. We could't but enjoy the beauty of this place every morning.
The hospitable owners of Auer Guest House were really nice to us. We felt like home, a part of their big family! We're so grateful for their advice they gave us during our stay. It made our holiday! We'll always keep these warm memories about this place and people in our hearts.

Authentic Austrian guesthouse in idyllic location

Gästehaus Auer is one of those beautiful chalet buildings with colourful flower boxes, wooden carvings and friendly hosts. Room rate was very reasonable, breakfast included ( satisfying), and the lake was very close, with spectacular views from the room. We also had a small balcony with a washing line to air clothes, central heating, and beer available from the cellar. Lovely place to stay - but you need a car! Summer has water sports, winter has skiing and in between is walking.fast free wifi

Beautilful gasthof adjacent to Thiersee. Very nice hostess, and everything well taken care of. A bit too far from Kufstein, in my opinion, where you'll find lots of restaurants etc - in Thiesee is not much.

Quiet scenic retreat

We stayed here for a few days while visiting friends in kufstein during Autumn. The location is very quiet, great for walks and cycling during this time of year with some amazing views, but there isn't too much else to do locally so not the best place for activities, so you might want to hire a car like we did.
We stayed in a superior apartment with terrace and the room was lovely. It was quite large and had everything we needed, free parking, kitchen, tv, wifi, massive bed and a very nice bathroom. I really liked the typically austrian decor with lots of detailed wood carvings. The view from the room was also amazing with a nice view of the surrounding mountains, the rolling green hills and the placid lake in the middle of the village.
The price was also fantastic value for money, we ended up paying about £30 per night which for such a large room in such a nice location we thought was great. Since it was a self catering apartment we only met a couple of people who work there, one being the owner and the owner being the only one who spoke english. When we checked in and out the woman we spoke to didn't speak english but was very friendly and so we got everything sorted out.
So in summary, would thoroughly recommend if you are wanting a peaceful getaway, or want a quiet retreat if you have a car for exploring.

Good B&B nice location

We stayed there last week and founf it very confotable, room was big, and with a nice view of the lake. The lady in charge spoke only german, but we got along anyway. Due to the snow the road to the facility was abit "difficult. On the whole a nice place to stay
