Very relaxing days
Everything perfect as always, from the room, service, spa, buffet.
This time free upgrade.
To the food table with great views of the Danube.

Unfortunately a disappointment
Our stay at the Hotel Donauschlinge over three days was unfortunately disappointing from the start.
Already on the first day there were problems with the equipment the minibar had to be replaced directly, which does not leave a good first impression. The suite was ok . In addition, during our stay a large ADAC event took place, about which we were not informed in any way in advance. This led to a heavily crowded hotel and significant service limitations.
The food was particularly negative: At a dinner billed as a 5-course meal, the whole thing was implemented as a buffet – which was not appropriate in this form. Due to the large number of guests, many meals were constantly empty, and the quality and organization suffered significantly. We had to wait up to 45 minutes for a dessert.
The topic of gluten-free diets was also presented as “no problem”, but in practice it was not implemented sufficiently. Due to a lack of labelling and clear contamination (e.g. spaetzle on plates or shared sauce spoons), safe eating was effectively not possible. This is absolutely unacceptable for those affected.
Overall, this stay does not correspond in any way to what you might expect from a hotel of this category. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the hotel under these circumstances.

We chose the Hotel Donauschlinge because the reviews looked incredibly good and the photos incredibly great! In retrospect, however, I have to confess that in my opinion only one rating exactly corresponds to my recommendation!
Arrived at the hotel expected and first a huge construction site! Okay the hotel can't help it, further to the parking lots, there were none available, so we were allowed to park outside the parking area, even now not so bad but yes!
Visually I had expected more from the hotel outside, which the reception area could then make up for from the look, which is actually very pretty! (but that was it then)
Okay first check us into the room for 3 people (unfortunately we only received 2 key cards for 3 people) - the corridor//hallway suggests that the hotel has already come of age, but our room was newly furnished and very clean! The old giant radiators are just loud and chug away cheerfully overnight!
Noticed in the room, only 2 bathrobes instead of 3, or no problem, back to reception where we immediately received another one! We still had questions for the receptionist, but unfortunately nothing was possible, even from the second lady. I think you should be able to know about the surrounding area in the restaurant and make recommendations! Furthermore, despite the beginning of spring, no bikes were available, even though there are huge advertising banners advertising it outside, which was very disappointing! Furthermore, the reception is only staffed to a maximum until about 21:00!
The wellness area is the best thing about the whole hotel, which is quite nice and pleasantly quiet, but the reception area in this area has also generally never been occupied! Late-night wellness was also only valid for Friday :(
Dinner was, if I have to be honest, terrible! A service professional told us starter and dessert are served, rest is buffet! Well then we just wait, the next one comes to us says "no, only dessert is served!" okay, then just serve it yourself, no issue! However, the food was EXTREMELY salty, I thought ok, the chef was in love today, but the next day it was even worse salty, thought that was impossible, but unfortunately it didn't get any better!
We had booked an all-inclusive package, but on site means all-in only for beer, wine and cyclists, next disappointment, because these drinks were available for EVERYONE to take out freely, so I really wonder why I paid all-incusive???
Conclusion I was terribly disappointed by this weekend and expected more luxury, but unfortunately a fail! from me this hotel unfortunately does not receive a recommendation! Vl suitable as a school trip for a main school class, but that was it!!

What an unusual hotel. The reception area is lovely, provides all the reassurance of a good hotel, however we were in block four. The block is tired, the rooms are dated and there isn’t even a proper shower, only a hand held attachment to the bath. Arrived on a special night with no alternative to food except the buffet which we did not want to eat. The staff I met were lovely and helpful.
