Great lunch spot

Perfect place to fuel up before heading down the mountain. Great beer. Great menu choices. Sunny outside seating and excellent 360 views. The soup was great, salad was fresh and varied and cheese gnocchi to die for.

Poor Service

Service does not accept supplementary self-brought meals due to intolerances/allergies in the guest room, even with paid half board.
Access from the outside to the ski room with some room keys not possible, alternative access via garage possible, but not desired because “private”, but is not so marked.

Amazing potatoes!

I came in here for a spot of dinner last week. The restaurant is gorgeous, in a traditional style. The staff were very friendly. They only have a German menu, so if you do decide to eat here, make sure you have a phrasebook and/or a dictionary or something in order to translate if you don’t speak German. I decided upon the wienerschnitzel, a favourite of mine, and it didn’t disappoint. It was delicious. The potatoes in particular were superb! I think they were covered in butter and petersilie, although I can’t be sure. Whatever it was, the potatoes were amazing! I also had glühwein to warm me up after coming in from the cold on a snowy December day.

Nice, confortable hotel and restaurant at the foot of Dachstein

Nice, family run hotel right at the foot of Dachstein lift, with confortable, clean rooms and bathrooms, and a very nice restaurant and terrasse. Prices are very reasonable. Buffet breakfast also very good.

a nice place, great views with a sun terrace

we visited here on Dec. 27, 2015, we drove up the Alpine Road to the 1600m level enjoyed a beautiful view of the Dachstein Mountain.
When it was time for Lunch we selected the restaurant of the Thuerlwandhuette, it has a large sun terrace, great views with mountain scenery, and good food. We selected " Germknoedel" with Vanilla Sauce,& Mohn , absolutly delicious, plus a Beef Broth with Flaedle, Vegetables and Beef.. we received good service. Be sure to drive up to Dachstein and this restaurant it is a great experience.
