Simply Breathtaking Views and Quiet

Located in a peaceful area in the Alps, small village. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place. 1h30 drive from Salzburg, 10 min drive from Hallstatt. If you are looking to stay away from the crowds of Hallstatt this is the place. You can easily cycle to Hallstatt, nice and flat cycle path.
Friendly atmosphere, resort with large green area, breathtaking views of the Alps, surrounded by huge tall snow topped mountains, crystal clear waters, lake and rivers.
The resort has chalets and apartments. Apartment facing the lake is large, two bedrooms, large balcony with spectacular views, and from your bed!
Service: Friendly staff, reception busy most of the times. Small internal shop selling bread, milk, drinks, biscuits, cleaning products, ice cream etc. Expect to pay more for this as it's the only shop in the area. Large supermarkets about 30min drive from Obertraun. I highly recommend doing some food / drink shopping on the day to the resort.
Great value for money, amazing experience.

We loved it

After reading reviews on here I was in a panic about my booking in October. The worry was completely needless...... the place was lovely. The chalet was clean, comfortable and cosy. Staff were attentive and the setting was idyllic. I would not hesitate to return.

Experience to forget

To be avoided absolutely. Bad smell in the bathrooms, falling shower door, two star environment, four star price. Last gem: 45€ for one night for the dog. I'm out of my mind. Listen to me, stay away

Great location, great restaurant and lovely lake

We stayed here for 3 nights in a superior room which had a kitchen in. As we turned up at 8pm we went straight to lodge. The room wasn't anything special but ok. Bathroom floor has hair and public hair on but as it was late I just cleaner it myself. Bed was soft and cheap. You can hear other people in their rooms so not soundproof. We went to restaurant 2 times, staff were fribut very busy. Both times I saw a young lady who worked in restaurant called Rebecca, she was very nice and attentive, Rebecca is a credit to your hotel! I saw our cleaning ladies on and night, one of them smoking next door on the step, not a great look! I have given 3 stars and is only for restaurant and staff, lake there and lovely area. I would only go back if I had a lodge to ourselves.

This is a huge complex resort, beautiful ground, first floor apartment (studio type with kitchen) has backyard table sets, feel very relaxing! Super close to the ferry to Hallstatt like 5 minutes walk! Staff are nice, breakfast good. We ate in the on site restaurant, delicious food! it’s about 15 minutes drive to Hallstatt, make it a great choice for short visit to the area! Room itself is pretty simple, very small bathroom but serve the purpose! No any extra amenities like tissue, only necessities!
