The Aichingerwirt is a traditional guesthouse and restaurant dating from 1854. It is 3 km from the town of Mondsee and 1.5 km from the shore of Lake Mondsee. The modern rooms feature a balcony, a flat-screen cable TV, and a bathroom.

Relaxing holiday

Very good is the wellness area with juices, fresh fruit and nuts.

Assuming: my review is purely about the monetary policy of the menu, not the environment or equipment. For children it is beautiful there.
We were with the family at the Aichingerwirt and unfortunately it was not a pleasant experience. The pricing seems arbitrary and designed for maximum profit margin – and you can clearly feel that as a guest.
Tap water is collected separately – well, that can still be discussed. But charging 2 euros for an extra plate is just petty.
A simple soda lemon only available in 0.3 l, although a normal soda can be ordered as 0.5 l – the few drops of lemon juice apparently make it impossible. This is despite the fact that the juice is freshly poured in. It just doesn't make sense.
The children's portions are also completely overpriced: For a palatschinke (!) Charging 6 euros, as well as for a small fritter soup, is simply outrageous. A small side salad costs 8 euros (misleadingly advertised on the website at 5.60 euros).
The Price quality ratio doesn't fit in the back and front.
All in all, as a guest you feel like an ATM on two legs.

Very friendly staff as well as at the reception and restaurant. Our room was always "refurbished" during breakfast by also friendly staff.
Excellent breakfast buffet. Very nice ambience both in the hotel and in the restaurant.
