Great family hotel with minor drawbacks regarding fitness and ski convenience
We generally enjoyed our stay at the Alphotel in Hirschegg. It is a lovely children's hotel, especially for families. Here are our detailed impressions:
Kids and Animation
The hotel offers a wide range of activities for children. The program is very engaging, and our children truly enjoyed their time there.
Dining
The restaurant and the food were good, with a solid selection available. However, the dining hall is a bit dark in some areas and can get quite loud. On the positive side, we were given the opportunity to change tables, which we appreciated.
Wellness and Fitness
The swimming area for both older and younger children is fine, and the sauna area serves its purpose. There is, however, room for improvement regarding the fitness facilities. There isn't a proper fitness room; only a stationary bike and a stepper are available.
Ski Area and Location
The ski area is decent, provided you do not mind taking the bus occasionally. It is important to note that this is not a ski-in/ski-out hotel. The bus transfer to the ski school only takes about two minutes, but there is a fee for it. We did not quite understand why this service is not complimentary and found it a bit disappointing.
Conclusion
A nice hotel with excellent childcare and good food. If you can overlook the lack of a full gym and the fact that you aren't directly on the slopes, you will have a pleasant stay here.

Perfect all-round carefree package for family holidays!
We stayed at Alphotel Hirschegg for the first time and are really excited. For families with children, an excellent overall package is offered here, with which we felt comfortable from the beginning.
Childcare & services:
The absolute highlight was the childcare. She is really very well organized and warm, so that you can breathe calmly as a parent. The team is trying hard, and the kids had a great time.
Rooms & facilities:
Our rooms were absolutely fine – clean, cozy and functionally furnished so you had everything you need for a stay with the family.
Conclusion:
With this hotel, the overall concept is just right. It is all very coherent and geared to the needs of families. We had an all-round successful holiday where everything fit. We can definitely recommend the Alphotel Hirschegg!

Great family hotel
We were able to enjoy a short spring break in the hotel in summer temperatures. The staff was very friendly, the room (2 adults & 2 children) was very spacious and nicely furnished.
The childcare was also very good.
The only thing that was "just" okay was the dinner. The salad buffet left nothing to be desired, but in my opinion the two dinners were not very special and the selection for the children was also rather limited. I am of the opinion that you shouldn't offer too much for the children because of food waste.
The excursions that you can take from here are a short drive away.
The playground is great and there are various activities for the children. We found the afternoon buffet very tasty, especially the yeast dumplings.

Top family hotel with great value for money
The location on the edge of the piste, the magic carpet right next to it and the wide range of activities have convinced us for years. The children are well looked after. The rooms are family-friendly. Food and drinks are available all day long.
