Lovely, friendly staff.

Very nice, friendly family run hotel. Relaxed atmosphere, great staff and owner and good food. Good location for Vienna Woods. Dog friendly, had a lovely time there over Christmas and would highly recommend this hotel. Would definately visit again.

Perfect countryside hotel and experience

Superbly well managed. Kitchen was impeccably clean and smelled great. Food was super fresh and always clean. I don't speak the language so if you also don't be sure you ask what it is that you are ordering. They serve a variety of traditional and non traditional dishes, as well as venison, that was perfectly prepared. The family owns and manages the hotel and have the highest standards. I've eaten in Michellin star restaurants in France and preferred the food here at Hotel Restaurant Marienhof. The rooms are really clean, and the air is so so fresh, and that's just perfect. In the Vienna Woods that is well tended nature full of wildlife and enjoyable hiking, saw deer. Highly recommend. An entirely professional and dedicated staff. Please only go there with good intentions)

Dinner in the Vienna Woods

Driving back from the Marchfeld via the scenic route and crossing the river Danube at Korneuburg we were looking for an authentic restaurant along the way in the Wienerwald (Vienna Woods).
Tucked away just 8km outside Vienna in the village of Unterkirchbach near Klosterneuburg we stopped at the Hotel Restaurant Marienhof for dinner. A sunny midweek evening the restaurant wasn't too busy, service friendly and attentive and portions large and very good.
The old part of the restaurant is mainly smoking area, non smoking is in the new part towards the garden and children's playground.
Traditional Austrian dishes were on the menu and we were not disappointed. After generous portions but still with an eye on the dessert menu we shared a portion of warm apple strudel with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. Heaven.
Reasonably priced, good service, tasty good and free parking means that we'll keep this place in mind for future visits.

Great view, great food, great sleep!

Me and my family went to Unterkirchbach in Austria last week for a confrence for me to attend and stayed at the Marienhof hotel . It's a family-run hotel (currently is the second generation) yet very professional and the staffs are really helpful!
I had a four-bed spacious room. Wifi which supposely only accesible in the lobby was accesible also from my room. The room is clean and the beds were very comfortable! They also have pool, gym and a playing ground just beside the restaurant. What we love the most is the food: Zander fillet! lovely taste .
The hotel is located not very far from the Wiener wald where you can find a Griefsvogelstation (falconary), nature park and a big playing ground for kids just on the gate of nature park.
The access to this Park and hotel is expensive if you go by taxi (70euro from Wien Meidling!!). But if you go by public transport is indeed easy and lot cheaper. you can take U6 from Meidling to Alsterstrasse, then take tram to Neuwaldegg and bus 445 to Unterkirchbach. All in all the transportion in Vienna is cheap if you buy the 24/48/72 hour tageskarte.
