Wonderful retreat place for exploring Salzkammergut

Great place! Great nature! Great view! The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Attersee. It has a nice, small beach. It is a wonderful starting point for hiking or exploring Salzkammergut. You need good biking skills or a car. Michael is a very helpful manager and Eva and her husband took care of an excellent breakfast.

Disappointing

The hotel looks very elegant in the photos, the location is actually breathtaking. But that's all there is. The rooms are very old, the furniture from the 60s-80s. It looks musty, dusty, the polish peels off. The walls are bacon - especially at the head ends of the beds. The breakfast buffet is on a standard of 1981. All in all: very unpleasant at the price (220 for an apartment). Only the garden is beautiful.

Good location with lake view , but right on the shore road. 3star fits, nothing more.

Most rooms have lake view ,the balconies but almost never sun,since north side.Parking right in front of the house often full. Large rooms ,large bathroom ,rooms but in need of renovation. No minibar.Friendly service but the broken bedside reading lamps were never repaired during loweres stay.Mediocre breakfast with good coffee and croissants but thin juices

Location and history cannot be ruined!!!!

The review is only valid for the restoration area!!!! We have known the house for many decades. Excellent location, right on the lake, wonderful beer garden. Unfortunately, at least the inn area has deteriorated year after year since the last change of ownership. The constant change of tenant of the restaurant is certainly also a sign of development. Beer garden not usable as each table had its own wasps/bee colony. All guests have escaped indoors. Outdated furnishings, dead flies on the window sills, dirty windows, tablecloths with stains and modest table decoration (see photo). Menu appealing, but unfortunately the quality very modest. Meat partly fried too little, breading ???? The service listless and incompetent!! NOTHING was really right here!! Very bad if you knew the house earlier. The price/performance ratio is not right in any case.

Great Memories

Was here in 1986. They had just opened the building up on the hill above the main Hotel. Had a wonderful time with my wife and parents. I was in the US Army at the time stationed in Nuremberg. They are all gone now. These pictures have brought back many memories.
