Avoid! Don’t waste your money!
I admit it was a bit strange there were only 2 reviews on tripadvisor for this hotel. The reviews on booking.com were quite promising so Ichose this hotel based on the good reviews I read. This is definitely not a 4* hotel. I booked a superior room for one night while in transit with my family. We had positive experiences in the area with other hotels and decided to try this one too. Bad idea!
- the staff is really not friendly and hardly speaks English. The waiter was even smoking inside the restaurant!!!
- we arrived around 8pm and decided to have dinner at the restaurant. Worst idea ever! The food tasted like it was old, nothing seemed to be fresh (mind you we were also with our toddler so I was quite nervous about the food quality). There was no light on the terrace so it’s quite a challenge to see your food in the evening. The only faint light comes from the lamp posts on the street. The menus are really worn out and look really cheap - the overall atmosphere is that of a village inn and not of the restaurant of a 4* hotel.
- the room was pretty big and the sheets were clean. However there was a small fridge in the room that was plugged off - aren’t you supposed to have it plugged in + some cold beverages in a 4* hotel? Paid beverages of course! This fridge was just like another piece of furniture...Moreover the towels also seemed really worn out, the floor was really dirty and there was a fake ceiling with decorative mini-holes out of which spiders were coming down...
Definitely not the conditions for a 4* hotel. We didn’t even want to try the breakfast next morning, jumped in the car and left. Such a filthy place... these were 130 Euros worst spent ever :(((

Absolut widerliches Essen
Wie waren am Wochenende in der Gegend unterwegs. Spontan sind wir beim Kirchenwirt vulgo Daniels eingekehrt. Ich möchte mich kurz halten. Das Essen war schllchtweg eine Katastrophe. Der Kellner reagierte auf die Reklamation gar nicht. Ein Lokal von dem man absolut abraten muss. Sparen Sie sich die Zeit und das Geld. MäcDonalds bietet bessere Qualität.

Achtung bei der Reservierung
Gols in Österreich ist im Herbst ein gefragter Ort.
Ich hatte telefonisch beim Hotel Daniels angefragt und einen Preis mit der Rezeption vereinbart. Noch ein zweites Mal angerufen, damit ich ein Mail schreiben kann und dabei wurde der Preis nochmals bestätigt.
Unmittelbar darauf habe ich das Mail an das Hotel gerichtet.
10 Stunden später erklärt man mir, dass es die Zimmer zu dem Preis nicht gibt und ich mehr zahlen muss (in einem Zimmer anderer Kategorie).
Daher Achtung bei ihrer Reservierung!
Wir sind dann nicht zu diesem Hotel gefahren.

Neu errichtetes Hotel mit geringem Flair und Ambiente
Gols hat in Sachen Wein sehr viel zu bieten, engagierte und tolle Winzer, die es schaffen erstklassige Weine zu kreieren und mit hohem persönlichen Einsatz ein tolles Ambiente bei diversen Veranstaltungen und privaten Verkostungen schaffen. Leider gilt das Engagement für den Gast nur beschränkt für die Hotellerie in Gols, das Seminarhotel Daniel´s ist da leider keine Ausnahme. Der Eigentümer (übrigens ident mit dem Kirchenwirt) würde, was seine Laune betrifft, besser in ein traditionelles Wiener Kaffeehaus als Ober passen. Grantiges und forsches Auftreten gegenüber dem Gast lässt keine echte Willkommensfreude aufkommen. Das Seminarhotel Daniel´s ist neu (mit EU Förderung) errichtet, die Einrichtung modern und zeitgemäß, jedoch bei unserem Zimmer Nummer 209 ist das Bad konzeptlos verplant, Wasser läuft beim Duschen unweigerlich aus der Dusche bis ins Zimmer. Direkt neben der Zimmertüre beginnt der Rohbaubereich, den hätte man auch mit einer auf Baustellen üblichen Staubschutzwand verstecken können. Frühstück ist ok, der Wintergarten hat aber das Flair eines Bahnhofshallenrestaurant. Die toten Fliegen auf der Abdeckung beim Buffet haben den Appetit nicht unbedingt angeregt. Die abgeschlagenen Getränkekrüge sollten auch ehest ersetzt werden.

Motel - Charme
einfaches Hotel in Motel Charme.
Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Hinterhof-Anbau.
Zimmer in guter, neuer Ausstattung und geräumig.
Leider ist das Personal ausgesprochen unfreundlich.Der Frühstücksraum erinnert an Jugendherbergen und ist sehr laut.
Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig.
Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Hinterhof-Anbau.
