A port in a storm

After driving from Nice we had been looking for an overnight stay. All our searches in villages prior to reaching Wien had proved futile. En route to Bratislava we spotted the Seminarhotel. It was a last resort (it was 11.00pm)! Fortunately we managed to book a room. We were pleasantly surprised. Although the check-in was a little chaotic - the receptionist was trying to run a shop as well as check in guests - our room was large, airy and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom well equipped and spotless. We had no complaints! Re breakfast, we did not eat at the restaurant so I cannot comment on the quality of the meal. However, if we repeat this journey we will certainly use this hotel again.

Only if other options not available

We looked for a hotel close to Airport - this was the only available for the date.
Positive: location - close to airport, easy access from the highway.
Negative:
1) General feeling the hotel and the rooms aren't clean enough - spots on floor, smelts like wasn't renovated for many years.
2) My partner in the second room we booked found hairs on the bed linens - very unpleasant.
3) No air conditions.
4) Wi-Fi signal is weak (at list in our rooms at Fl. 2).
Definitely, the hotel of "no choice" and you have to have a bed close to airport in crowded August

Ups and downs for this hotel

We stopped at this hotel in the middle of the night at 2.00 AM to book 2 rooms.
When we got out of the car in the parking lot we were "greeted" with the view of at least 10-11 rats "running" in the grass near the hotel entrance. No kidding, there could've been more than 11 and all were so big they couldn't even run.
Being so late in the night and we were very tired, we decided to give it a chance despite the welcoming. So, let's talk about the lodging. As there were no double rooms available, we got two quadruple rooms for 88 Euros each:
Pros:
- Very large rooms
- To our surprise the sheets, bathroom including furniture and the towels were very clean.
- The rooms were very quiet. The windows were towards N-E with a field view.
Cons:
- Extremely and I literally mean EXTREMELY dirty carpeting both inside the room and all the hotel lobby. I think it was never changed since the hotel opening.
- Very old room furniture.
- Very poor WiFi signal. If you have a good roaming plan, you're good, otherwise...
- We found the breakfast slightly expensive at €12.95 per person. We chose an espresso (Kimbo, very good) and croissants instead.

Tidy but cold

The motel is very convenient as pruce and location. When I visited it the room was very cold even the radiators were hot.
I recommend them to be very careful with this aspect as due to the low temperature was very difficult to take a shower.

GPS Recommendation

50 km away from Vienna, very close to highway, you can check in even late at night (hotel is closed but you can do it from restaurant).
Service - Good (English speaking)
Value - Average (A little bit high for a B&B)
Sleep Quality - Good
Cleanliness - The place was clean and tidy
Location - Very close to Highway (Very convenient if you are tired)
Room - It was quite big, bathroom as well
