Stylish overnight stay with dog in the middle of Bludenz

The Tschofen is located in the middle of Bludenz and within walking distance of the train station. The rooms are stylish and comfortably furnished, under the roof there is a beautiful sauna with views over the roofs. Breakfast in the morning is small and fine and the evening menu offers delicious dishes. We felt very comfortable here. The reception is not staffed throughout, so check-in should be arranged with the hotel in advance.

Mediocre

I received an email on the day of arrival at 2 pm with information on parking and check in. Since will be on the way at this time but I have of course not read this mail anymore. So the check turns out to be a bit bumpy. We rang at the announced time and after a felt eternity the door was then opened. At the reception was a very nice young lady who has only been working there for three weeks and could only give us the key card. She said the room was on the second floor and we took the elevator upstairs. There wasn't a room with that number. So down again and the young lady said she didn't know but it could be that we had to take the stairs and then come out somewhere else. So it was, on the first floor there was then a signpost and via a back stair you then reach another area of the second floor.
The room was kind of lovelessly decorated. The windows were so dirty you could barely see through. But the highlight was the air conditioning. This was set to 28.5° and can be adjusted by +- 3°. We slept like in a sauna. I then set the fan to 0 and tried to open the window. However, this can only open a gap that can not be reached here either. again going to the young lady at the reception did not seem promising to me. Then it is no longer important that the soap dispenser was not stocked on the sink or cables are hanging loosely under the table.
The next day we were at breakfast at 8am. The selection of sausage, cheese and jam was ok, although it would have done the cheese good to cool it a bit. The individual panes were already fused together. The choice of rolls, however, was very modest. There were very dark baked mini rolls or a kind of crust bread to cut down yourself. That's it! No regular rolls or croissants or other pastries.
I will not go there again and book another hotel next time.

Great town centre hotel

Absolutely lovely in the heart of the pedestrian area. Parking is not that easy, but nowhere seems far to walk. And once you’ve parked you can keep topping up. The rooms are very new and delightfully decorated, melding the old with the new.
We haven’t experienced the sauna yet, but it looks amazing on the top floor and we have yet to have breakfast.
Staff very friendly and family room available.

Amazing historical building in the old town centre of Bludenz

We were unexpectedly surprised by this lovely venue. We booked this hotel to only have a have a short drive to our ski destination and were only looking for a place to spend the night. If we would have only known how wonderful, everything about das Tschofen is, we would have taken more time to spend there. Valentina and her family are very warm, genuine and professional hosts. The rooms are all charmingly and with respect, tastefully restored and all have an individual character. So different from the standard "chain hotels". All rooms have their own Nespresso coffee maker. Breakfast is beautifully fresh, healthy, typical Austrian. The food in the restaurant is perfect. Cliental in the restaurant during the evening is a nice mix of locals and hotel guests. The Tschofen hotel is a gem. While you are there, you have to take time to visit/use the most amazing sauna with a view on the top floor; I have never seen something so special!!!

Super Hotel direkt in der Fußgängerzone mit Parkhaus

Vom freundlichen Empfang bis zum Checkout hat alles gepasst.
Unser Zimmer war groß und klasse eingerichtet.
Das Frühstück war reichhaltig
WLAN war gut und kostenlos.
Parken kann man im öffentlichen Parkhaus mit direkten Hotelzugang für 12 € /Nacht
Was will man mehr.
