Needed a little pampering
Steve, The Host, what a legend…
We made a last minute booking on line.. 1st mistake, the booking was cancelled but the Money was taken out of our account.. We arrived at reception quite late I thought it was going to be a drama.. Showed Steve the booking & the Bank account, of course he had nothing on his computer. He didn’t have a problem suggested we claim a refund, said 7-12 days ☹️ on web site, was back in account next morning. Great customer service Steve…

Bedbugs scare and appalling customer service
I was bitten two nights in a row and when I brought this up to the lady at reception she immediately came and checked for the room for bedbugs. Upon further investigation I discovered that the hotel had had a case of bedbugs however and when I wanted to cancel the remaining two nights to ensure my family member arriving that evening didn't take bedbugs home to my sick elderly parents, the manager became really rude and defensive saying 'you have no proof there are bedbugs'! The was no duty of care for the guests and I had to drive back to Sydney at 10:30pm at night due to being unable to find alternative accommodation.
Also, it should be noted that this motel located in the middle of an RSL carpark.

Disgusting
My room when I stayed was disgusting, someone’s body hair left all through the shower and also the spa from shaving, the spa was so filthy we refused to use it! The toilet was left with feces in it. The room in general wasn’t clean. The manager was very apologetic who escalated to upper management but they couldn’t have cared less giving me a $50 refund off a $250 stay. Didn’t even reply to my emails when and replied back saying the refund was a joke. And the photos don’t really show how bad it was that was after we flushed away the toilet and washed most the hair away before deciding to take the photos.
Disgusting effort and a shame for the Walsend diggers club as we won’t be back and extremely unlikely anyone we know will ever stay there.

A dream to stay in!
I couldn’t compliment this hotel enough! After travelling with a family of 4 adults and being on the road for 12 hours and having a shocking experience at a prior motel (which we checked in and checked out within 10minutes) we rocked up at Springs around 6:30pm and the receptionist was more than happy to help, she managed to book us in and not only got us 2 king bed rooms but also side by side as well as even discounting the price for us. When we told her about our day she also offered some wonderful advice and pointers on how to dispute our case from the last place.
Friendly staff, clean foyer, immaculate amenities, large flatscreen with all the bells and whistles, rain fall shower head, nice comfy big king beds and everything was just so clean and pristine! You had the option to get room service for dinner and breakfast as well as there being a mini bar in the room should we wish to purchase anything for w reasonable price.
The location was perfect too! So close to everything including a huge choice of food places.
Would definitely stay here again and if I travel to Newcastle I will book here again!

Mid Range Accomodation, but Excellent.
Wife & I stayed at the Springs Motel on 29-07-2022 as we made our way home to the Sunshine Coast.
"A note to intending customers, Reception & parking are both on the 3rd Floor."
We booked an Executive King room, the bed was comfortable & clean, as were the toilet & shower. We loved the colour of the room decor too. A selection of tea - coffee & hot chocolate plus 2 packets of (2) biscuits are also in the room.
The Motel and the Wallsend Diggers Club are joined by an elevated walkway. The Diggers Club has a Bistro that is open for Breakfast Daily from 7am - LUNCH Daily from 11.30am & DINNER Daily from 5pm. The Steakhouse, is only open Thursday - Saturday From 5.30pm. The Club surroundings are clean and very nice, actually it looks new.
