We were given a room with a view of the car park. It was particularly ugly and not shown in the photos before booking. When we complained we were upgraded and it was perfect. No fuss at all.

Appearance

Beautiful outside, embarrassing inside.
Furniture exactly recup of a war, engine of air conditioning rusty, refrigerator exterior rusty and dirty.

The location is very convenient, it is right there as you get off the ferry. It is also handy to the bus and to the supermarket, cafes and restaurants in Nelly Bay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nice enough. The room wasn't cleaned/serviced at all while we were there, which wasn't a huge deal, but I was expecting, with the price that we paid, that it would be. The pools were freezing cold so we went in the Ocean instead and didn't use them at all. They would probably be better in Summer/hotter weather. The local rock wallabies are just a short walk away.

Magnetic Magic

Fantastic location opposite ferry terminal, great welcome very informative and we were given a map/guide of the island. Buses stop right outside the hotel so you can easily explore the island.
Our room was beautiful overlooking the marina, spacious and well equipped.
Stunning large pool and smaller, secluded pool.
Great buffet breakfast.
Food is served early in the evening and there are a few options nearby, we enjoyed a lovely meal at the SOS a fabulous, friendly fish bar. Beautifully cooked food, chilled glasses popular with locals too.
Granite was another place to eat with great service and lovely food and staff.

Very nice hotel

Very nice hotel. Directly at the port where the ferry arrives. The food was very good. The bed is superb. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
The hotel has a lot of stairs, so disabled persons should ask for a room close to the elevator.
