A welcoming stay in Hobart.

We had a plesant stay here, after using the GPS to find the place. Much easier when leaving thou. Room is nice with a reasonable view. It was nice to have a small table and 2 chairs to sit together and eat. A very rare find these days. The bed was soft, a bit too soft for my liking. The only thing I could say was no filtered water, or bottled water to make cuppas. All else was supplied. Parking was simple in the big car park. e hotel was in a great location for our business in Lenah Valley. Just a short drive away. No noise to be had. It was so nicely quiet. Downstairs was a nice dining and recreational area. I believe one can purchase a simple breakfast on site.

Have been trying to call this motel several times at different times of the day to try and ask some questions before making a booking and nobody answers...

I ended up staying 4 nights as it was very affordable, but at no time did they clean the room, the bin was over flowing and no one checked the room to maintain it throughout my stay. I have stayed in other motels before and the room had been maintained. The room was on the old side, but, the bathroom was equiped well enough.

How does he still have a job?

The manager or owner was incredibly rude when we called to change the booking. Instead of simply saying "Sorry I can't do that, but am happy to offer an extra night." Like a well adjusted adult would. He decided instead to be obnoxious and condisending, Honestly saying he was rude would be an massive understatement. Constantly cutting me off every time I tried to speak and speaking nonsense loudly over the top of me as a child would bullying another child. We were very taken aback, I travel all over and have never once been treated so badly. A grown man acting in this manner toward customers who hadn't even arrived yet. When I managed to get a word in I said I would be leaving a bad review to which he smuggly exclaimed "Haha, people don't read reviews!" and then hung up.
This guy needs professional help. Don't give him any of your money.
The Bush cabins in Hobart offer better value and much better service.
