Great little motel
Very comfortable family hotel room for an overnight stay. We arrived and were greeted promptly by the friendly live-in manager. Check-in was easy. The room was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed (including crockery, cutlery and a microwave!) Plenty of food options over the road . To be fair, there was some wear and tear in the furnishings but it didn't take away from our stay at all and overall it was great value for money and one of the better motels we have stayed in. It is on a busy road and when we first arrived we were slightly worried about that but it wasn't loud in our room. We noticed at around 8pm that we only had 2 towels for 4 people but were able to quickly rectify this by visiting reception (who apologised profusely). Definitely recommend this place and if we are ever in Dubbo again we will be back

Comfortable & Pleasant Stay!
We had a fantastic stay at this motel. The room was impeccably clean, the bed was very comfortable, and all the essentials were thoughtfully provided. The staff were warm, welcoming, and truly went the extra mile to ensure we had a pleasant experience. The location is very convenient, with plenty of eateries within walking distance. The pool was a perfect bonus—especially on a hot day in Dubbo—and our kids absolutely loved it! Highly recommend for anyone seeking a relaxing and hassle-free stay.

Comfortable and convenient.
Walking distance to all convenience food outlets (opposite side of the road) and the main shopping cbd: just a 10 min easy walk Plenty of reasonable dining/shopping options.
Located on the main road (Cobra Street) though no noise disturbance overnight.
Service ...... no problem. Manager will attend personally to any issue.
Rooms a bit dated but comfortable. Our room #10, spacious with spa & updated bathroom.
Taronga Western Plains Zoo, main (others available) tourist attraction, 10 mins drive ,,,,,, you're probably never going to see these animals in Africa, South America, Asia or, incredibly, even Australia.
Wear a hat &/ or umbrella in summer!!.
Of course, considering their containment and feeding, the animals aren't chasing prey & the prey aren't running for their lives! They are all relatively 'relaxed', so take your time to wait and observe what nature has created!

A perfect stop over
From the moment I arrived to the moment I left my stop over at the Shearing Shed was a great experience. The staff were super friendly on arrival with generous recommendations for eating out, and on leaving they provided a bucket and squeegee to clean my car windows. In addition the room was large and
clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well stocked and the shower was powerful. Perfect

Beautiful room with noiseless fridge
My husband and I slept over in the king size bed / bathtub (room 11) twice on our recent trip to Victoria, there and back, coming from the midd-north coast. 18 hours trip cut into two day for us.
We were pleasantly impressed with Shearing Shed Motor Inn from the start, right before of our arrival.
We loved the fact that reception is open till 10 pm. That is important for us because of the long road trip and our arrival time to Dubbo is closer to 6 pm. A confirmation text was sent a day before with instructions and welcome notes.
The room looks terrific. Not overly fancy but clean room, very comfortable, king size bed, and very well maintained bathroom with shower and a bathtub, enmities ect...
We didn't do much in Dubbo as we only stayed overnight. And our wonderful room and polite receptionist made our days well worth.
** Over the years, we stayed in Dubbo in different places on our travelling throughs. But each time our sleep and rest was spoiled due to loudly buzzing fridge noises & water pipes all night.
In Searing Shed Mottor Inn, the best thing was amongst I mentioned was this little fridge that was silent, while it's cooled our drinks for the next day's road trip. We felt fully rested and ready to drive away each mornings as we depart from the Motor Inn.
