Very disappointed – avoid if you have luggage or value sleep

I had a very poor experience at 31 on the Terrace and would not recommend staying here for several reasons:
• Accessibility: There is no lift, and we had to carry all of our heavy luggage up steep, old wooden stairs ourselves. This was extremely difficult.
• Room Size: The room was incredibly tiny. There was so little floor space that we actually had to store our luggage on the balcony just to be able to move around inside the room.
• Maintenance Issues: The room is run-down and poorly maintained. One of the table lamps didn't work, and more importantly, the toilet door lock was broken, which is a major privacy issue.
• Noise: The building is very old and has zero soundproofing. I could hear every word from people talking in the corridor and every footstep. It is also right near the road, so every passing car sounds like it is inside the room.
Overall, the place feels very rundown and it was a very uncomfortable stay.

Not sure.....

It was really difficult to contact the owner to make a reservation - many unanswered emails. I took a chance and made a reservation without any response and then had a very strange SMS exchange with the owner. So I cancelled and booked an alternative option. Denmark is worth visiting but 31 needs to improve its comms.

Booked family room for 3 people we thought but when we arrived clerk said booking was for just 2 and asked for $20 cash, no big deal but seemed shady.

The manager was helpful and friendly and helped us with nearby parking. The location was very central. The property is ‘quirky’ in design and very tired and worn; things fell off walls and/or didn’t work.

Stayed in Moulin Rouge room which was qite spacious and tidy with balcony over looking a roundabout.bathroom was a bit awkward with a couple of steps up from main room
