Very good value motel (at least midweek) close to Hunter Valley wineries and fast food outlets. Usual motel layout and amenities, a little dated but not to the point of being ragged. I would stay there again.

Disgusting

Absolutely nothing like the booking photos. The room was filthy and in an unacceptable condition. Dirty surfaces, stained bedding, and an overall strong odour. The reception area was also unclean and poorly maintained, which set the tone from arrival.
I contacted the motel directly to try and resolve this and received no response. Completely unprofessional.
Photos attached speak for themselves. Health inspectors should seriously be taking a look at this property.
Would not recommend under any circumstances.

This accommodation was rated as 4star when I researched. Giving it 2stars is generous. Bedding smelt musty and the cover was an old blanket. Mattress springs were popping out the side and also digging into us when trying to sleep. Pillows thin and dirty. Shower was full of mildew and dirty. Check in staff not welcoming. Tired, dirty and certainly not close to a 4 star rating. I hope this is not the best Cessnock has to offer. If so people would be better travelling a bit further along.

Not So Much a Hotel, More a Cockroach Sanctuary

Until this hotel, I have always believed that I’d rather spend my money on experiences and not the accommodation. This is the hotel that taught me that “it’s just a bed” is only true when you’re not sharing it with an infestation of cockroaches. You can’t even try to shower away the disgust, as the resident roaches are even in the shower watching you. Spend the few extra dollars- you can’t actually get any sleep here anyway.
