A Bright Escape
What a gem! Ashleigh greeted us with such a warm smile and awesome tips on what to see and do around town. The park grounds are absolutely gorgeous — leafy, peaceful, and with a lovely creek running right through it (the perfect chill-out spot!). The amenities are clean and we particularly appreciate the heated bathrooms! We loved that campfires are allowed — nothing beats sitting around the fire under the stars, soaking up that mountain magic. Bright itself is just brilliant — great cafés, many breweries, stunning scenery, and loads to explore. Highly recommend this park if you’re heading this way… we’ll definitely be back!

Sub standard conditions
We have been coming to this caravan park every Easter for the past 40 years. We’ve always come back because we love the proximity of the park and the sites are generous.
However the past few years, and particularly this past Easter we feel that the Park is at a low point in accomodation standards. We have a caravan but the sites were uneven, dirty,dusty. There was a huge pile of dirt next to our site that has been there for months. There was also a log surrounded by orange tape between our site and the creek so made it very hazardous to walk around. But our main concerns are the toilets and laundry . They were dirty and we never saw a cleaner there for the whole Easter week. If they were there they didn’t clean. Bins overflowing in the ladies, shower outlets blocked , benches filthy. We constantly get told this toilet block (closest to the township) is only used in peak periods. It has not been updated in 40 years. So even if it is closed alotof the time it should be up to standard when it is open. Putting up a sign saying “we’re sorry about the condition of toilets but only used in peak periods” is totally unacceptable . We’re still being charging peak rates for sub standard amenities.
The laundry has 5 washing machines but only 1 works. Very inadequate for 2 years running
I think it’s time some money was spent to upgrade facilities or we’ll be looking elsewhere: we book 3 to 4 sites every Easter

Disappointing second visit.
Park needs an upgrade. It's is very large and has spacious sites under a canopy of trees to the rear of the park. Other areas were very dry and dusty, Clearly the whole region is in drought, but surely some effort can be made to make the park more appealing and tidy.
Some amenities are dated, open to the weather. More modern amenities had leaking and mouldy showers. Laundry near our site had a layer of dust over the benches, windows that hadn't been cleaned for some time and 5 out of 6 washing machines not working.
Clearly NRMA needs to spend some of their million dollar profits on maintaining their assets.
