Welcoming and Homely

Staying two nights at Beach End felt the same as the beachside flats we often stayed in on Magnetic Island, Queensland. Everything we needed was there. Little touches ( like the functional cooking items) were thoughtfully there. Homely: very much so! The units are 30 or so years old but are clean, comfortable and well positioned, with a view to the nearby beach and Diamond Island. Shane and Nort do their best to include a visitor into a community. Five Stars Plus. Peter Jacobson, Queensland.

save you money and look else where

we stayed in unit 3 in september had an unpleasant odour needs a cleanup outside and a reno inside would be classed as an older one bedroom flat not comparable to a good priced motel or hotel at $165.00.what you get is somewhere to sleep and shower very basic save your money and look elswhere major disapointment

Loved this place.

I loved this place. You get the best of both worlds - country and seaside views. From the moment we arrived at this gorgeous beach shack overlooking a paddock of sheep with it’s uninterrupted views of Diamond Island to the private track that led us to the beach to enjoy a walk on low tide to the island. It’s just homely and picturesque.

Piece of paradise

Thankyou so much for our lovely stay. Unfortunately it was only 1 night. Would have loved to have stayed longer. The magpie unit 3 was all we needed. It is spotlessly clean, has a washing machine/dryer which was great for us and plenty of tea and coffee and all cooking facilities that you need. The view is amazing. The sheep were just a bonus. A short 5 minute walk to the beach which we had to ourselves. Will definitely be back.

A slice of heaven

The amount of time that I wasted/enjoyed taking in the view - end of day and start of day. A perfect spot to enjoy a wine or a cuppa on the deck.
Uninterrupted view of ocean, penguins at night and peaceful quiet.
Lovely and clean and comfy beds.
