Perfect cottage

We had the perfect stay at this cottage. It was spotless, beautifully decorated, exceptionally uncomfortable and quiet. The bathrooms were beautiful and had large white freestanding baths in them. The view from our cottage was beautiful, looking out on a large green lawn covered in birds and with a grapevine over the veranda. It was only 400 m from the wedding venue that we were attending so it was extremely convenient as well. The service from all the staff at the venue was fantastic. They even drove us back to the cottage after the reception. We had breakfast the next morning and a beautiful cottage called The Vine Room, and the food was excellent. We really couldn’t have picked a better place to stay on every level.

Luxury hideaway in the southern highlands

We were living in the newly built lake house of Bendooley estate. It is really comfortable and offers all you need. You‘ll find nice artworks in the living room and a lot of different books to read. It is perfect to calm down and enjoy the beautiful nature all around the estate.

Satisfactory Stay

As part of our inland road trip from Sydney to Melbourne, we stayed at Bendooley Estate and extended our stay as the cottage was comfortable and the location was very convenient for visiting several Southern Highlands towns.
The estate itself is pretty and offers a calm, relaxed setting. The cottage was well equipped with nice quality hotel amenities, although I would request one further from the Hume Highway for a better experience, as traffic noise was quite noticeable at different times. Cottages are not serviced daily, and while a small refresh was provided upon request during our extended stay, this is worth noting for longer visits.
Service across the estate was inconsistent. Some staff were friendly and engaging, while others were less attentive. Eileen at the Vine Room was welcoming on our first day & less so the next, while Bianca was helpful with accommodation queries. Overall consistency with service is important.
Breakfast options were okay but quite repetitive across days, and a bit more variation would enhance the overall offering. We would consider returning during summer, when the grounds would likely be more enjoyable, though with adjusted expectations around service and amenities.

The accomodation is a stand-out

Our stay at Bendooley was a last minute decision after having lunch there. We found the cottage to be very spacious, well designed, well appointed and very clean.
It was a real stand-out. The outdoor sitting area looking over the creek and surrounding hills was peaceful, beautiful and exceptional in itself.
Breakfast in the vine room was also fantastic. In all we had a lunch in the bookstore, dinner at Leo's and breakfast in the vine room. Every meal was really good.
We highly recommend the entire experience - we will definitely make Bendooleys a destination for another trip.

Mother of the Bride stay at Bendooley

The Bendooley Cottages are beautifully comfortable and have excellent facilities. Staff are amazingly helpful and the setting is stunning The continental breakfast is lovely and just what you need to start the day. I would recommend to anyone and hope to stay there again in the future.
