Wonderful experience
Wow, this hidden gem was the best dog friendly place we have ever stayed at (and we have stayed at many). In the first hour we saw the resident koala, dolphins and kangaroos!! Our cabin (no.5) was ocean front and beautifully decorated, and immaculate. Amity Point has a wonderful laid back island vibe. Recommend Bo’s close by for coffees and General store nearby too. Straddie Hotel is now renovated and dog friendly and great views and food. My daughter and I had so many amazing experiences and it was so special to be able to have our cavoodle join us! Thank you Jane. We will be back!!!

Relaxing little family getaway
We absolutely loved our 3-night stay at Sea Shanties in Amity Point and can't wait to come back.
The location is perfect if you're looking to slow down and enjoy the relaxed island lifestyle. Amity Point has everything you need without feeling overdeveloped. It's an easy walk to the boat ramp and the netted swimming area, close to The Pavilion for great coffee in the mornings delicious meals with genuinely friendly service at night. The 4WD beach access is only a short drive away, with an easy entrance that wasn't all churned up.
The property itself was the real highlight. Sitting right on the beautiful rock wall with its own private jetty, it felt like having our own little slice of paradise. The kids had an absolute ball fishing from the jetty, and on our very first evening we were treated to an incredible display as a family of dolphins came in to catch fish right in front of us. We also spotted plenty of wobbegongs and the occasional stingray gliding through the crystal-clear water. It was like watching a giant natural aquarium, and we happily lost track of time just sitting there taking it all in.
In the evenings we made great use of the fire pit, and the camp kitchen was one of the best-equipped we've come across, with everything you could possibly need.
From the outside, the cabins look exactly as the name suggests, quaint little sea shanties full of character. Step inside, though, and they're beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was also comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day exploring.
Josh clearly takes enormous pride in the property and goes above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable and well looked after. We travelled with our family and dogs, and it was the perfect base for a peaceful island getaway.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. We'll definitely be booking Sea Shanties again.

Fantastic location
Hard to fault this small, pet friendly cabin accommodation, situated in a fantastic location at Amity Point. Good communication from the owners in advance, although we didn't manage to meet up during our quiet, midweek, pre-school holiday break.
Parking is limited to designated spots close to reception, but there are handy luggage trolleys to transport gear to one of the 6 main cabins. Stop for a moment to take in the stunning view out over the lawns to the ocean and also take a look up, as there are resident koalas.
Very clean and tidy accommodation, although slightly awkward having sink across room from kitchen area. Comfortable double bed plus large trundle if required. Very well-equipped camp kitchen area and a small jetty to maybe catch tea to boot. If no luck fishing, just hang out watching the dolphins metres from shore while drinking in a beautiful sunset.

Great place, great management. 100% recommend.
Beautiful cabin accomodation. Lovely, clean and pups allowed. Bandicoots, Koalas and all sorts live in the trees. Can't wait to come back. Great view from the kitchen.
Kids loved it. We were stranded after being blown off main beach by the wind and sand. Awesome place.

A magical spot in Amity Point
Sea Shanty’s is a wonderful and cute place. Simple, quaint, quirky and exceptionally clean. You feel comfortable and welcome from the moment you arrive. Koalas and dolphins a few steps away from your cabin. Everything you need in one place with a magical sunset every-night. Thank you Jane and the team for all of your hard work.
